  1. The Mandalay is back in the Caribbean sailing out of friendly Grenada with many of the ole crew and a new owner. The feel is the same as the old Windjammer but the new name is slightly different: Windjammer Sailing Adventures, see their Facebook and web site. We had a great time sailing the beautiful Grenadines with Captain Sly and crew of 22. Many former Windjammer friends were on board along with some newbies. Folks of all ages, everyone of them young at heart, enjoyed the fun, food and frivolity. This ship is large, 264 ft. if I recall correctly and has plenty of space to sneak off and read, enjoy a cocktail or sit with friends. Good to be on the turquoise sea again!
  2. This is our 2ns cruise. My daughter and I both had a touch of sea sicknesses on our last cruise. Any tips? Do the bracelets work? I packed Dramamine already! Just want to know how prepared to be. It only was an issue when the boat was "full steam ahead" on the first night to get to the Bahamas. Slow cruising was fine!
  3. Hi Stacey... Welcome and regards :)
  4. Hi, all I can't tell you how much fun I have had since finding and joining, and how much I have learned. Roberta and I both look forward to meeting many of you shortly on Mush, but I thought a brief introduction might be in order. We have lived in Naples, FL for 4 years and Miami for 20 years before that. We are both originally from the New York, New Jersey area. I am a practicing Pulmonary/Critical Care specialist and my wife was a travel agent in Miami but is now enjoying herself and planning our older daughter's wedding which will be in June 2007. Roberta and I took many "mass-market" cruises early in our marriage. I was even a ship's doctor on the old Norway a couple of times (should have done that when I was single). As our tastes for fine dining and luxury travel matured, we stopped cruising. We are both truly looking forward to our upcoming Alaska adventure on the Mariner in just under 3 weeks (but who is counting?). Thanks to all those whose hard work make this happened.
  5. Hey bingo296, welcome aboard! :)
