This has been a cruise my husband has wanted to do. I actually thought a cruise through the canal sounded boring. lol BUT have changed my mind after all the good things I've heard about it. :)

Thanks DebbieandJerry! I haven't read/heard anything negative about a Panama Canal cruise yet. We've never done one this long before. We usually sail out of Miami - got 2-3 days ahead of time and do some shopping! That way it extends our vacation a little and we don't have to worry about delayed flights due to blizzards. (We live in Niagara Falls, Canada) This time - since we are sailing in April - no worries of Blizzards! Since we are saving money on hotel and rental car - we chose a longer cruise. I am SO looking forward to it. Cruising is simply the BEST way to vacation!!

We booked our cruise today! Yay! Very excited!! Sailing out of NY - never done that before! Boarding NCL Jewel - going through the Panama Canal. 17 day cruise. :) Has anyone done this cruise? Any tips or advice is welcome!

Hi - my name is Pam. My husband and I LOVE cruises - but can't afford to go as often as we'd like to! Our next cruise (hopefully) - will be to the Panama Canal some time in the new year. Preferably January or February. We are looking for the best deal - definitely want a balcony! We want at least two weeks (a bit longer would be awesome!) If anyone knows of a great deal - please let me know! My husband scans a few web sites regularly. We're from Niagara Falls, Canada. :) We usually fly out of Buffalo, NY - as it's the closest airport - and usually has cheaper flights! So far we've sailed with Norwegian and Princess and have been quite happy with both - but definitely willing to try a different line if we can get a better deal! (Providing of course it's a reputable line) Just found this site. Not sure what it's about so far - but if it's about cruising - then it must be good!
