Well , we had early for our first two cruises( not our choice for the first one as it was our honeymoon! But on second we had our young(infant ) children with us and did choose early) .and then we had late seating for our third cruise. We found early too early and late , too late. Now on Princess we don't have too choose, we took Personal Choice and we won't mind if we have to wait for a table, at least it will be within our time line of when we get down ( or up ) to dinner. We have already decided to just relax and have a drink while we wait, also we are flexible about the table size we request ,as opposed to some who demand a table for two at 7.30( peak time) and then get choked if they have to wait!

We just ae thrilled to be cruising !

We have always preferred traditional late seating. However, last week during our first NCL freestyle cruise we enjoyed being able to eat at 7:30, or 8, or 8:30 or 9 or whenever we felt like it. Always a table for two, and seldom any waiting.

We prefer late seating for all of the usual reasons. The best time up on deck is when the early seating people are eating, and many of the late seating people are napping.
