Maria,

Our last Carnival cruise was New Years 2002. If they had this size restriction then, we were not aware of it. We never gave it much thought as we only carry on a camera bag and Rita's beach type bag. I guess we just assumed if it was accepted as a carry on by the airlines, and fit thru the x-ray machines, that it would also be accepted by the cruise lines.

Thanks guys.....I have heard confilicting reports. I have quite a lot of medications and I thought between that and cosmetics a small wheeled carry on would be fine as long as it fits thru the scanner. Are they the same size as airport scanners. The bags measure 13' wide and 20" high. I bought this small bag because it said on the front " meets most airline requirements for carry on luggage".
