Table for two or Big Table?

The tablemates post makes me wonder whether you enjoy a table for just you and your significant other, or a large table with people you don't know?

I prefer a large table...even though I know we're taking our chances with whom we get seated. Both hubby and I enjoy meeting new people and talking about cruising. We are empty nesters now and have dinner together every night at home, and on a vacation it's nice to talk about something other than finances, or the kids, or work, etc.

How about you?

Always go for the big table. I have met a lot of very nice people over dinner. Out of 59 cruises, have only gotten "stuck once," and had no trouble having the maitre d' change my table.

And, even if your tablemates aren't the greatest, it's only for a few meals. Nowadays, breakfast and lunch are usually open seating, and you're only with your assigned tablemates for dinner.
