cruisinmama
I don't know the answer..lol..figures right?? I want to send post cards while we are away..Now I hear when we got to Hell we can send postcards from there.. Now do I need to bring my own stamps and would they be the same price to send from the Caribbean to Canada?? or would I need to buy something else??? TIA
Suzila
As I recall, I bought stamps down there and sent it right from their mailbox...they sold me stamps in the little store in Hell. Keep in mind, the postcards won't arrive until weeks after you return home. I don't know what the postal rate is going from Hell to Canada, but if I were you, whatever the rate is...buy double and stick it on the card before you send it. Then it should get to the Canadian destination.

DaCruzNut
Actually, you HAVE to use local postage. If your mailing something from Grand Cayman, the Post Office will only accept Caymanian postage. Same in all the foreign countires. The only islands that accept US postage are the US islands, such as Puerto Rico, U.S. Virigin Islands, etc;
KarenUK
I sent a load from "Hell" - they charged 25c per stamp so didn't break the bank but did take a week or two to get to everyone I sent them to here in the UK.

Mebert
I bet you they put the mail on the same ship that you're on and then transfer to another ship until it gets to Canada.
jacketwatch
 Well 25 c for a stamp is probably the only bargain on GC. It is very $$$$$. Very nice too.
DaCruzNut
You can say that, again... There are no bargains in the Cayman's. When I'm on a ship that stops there, I just take the tender into town, walk to the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory, order a slice of Rum cake and a cup of coffee, and "people watch." When I'm done, I hop the tender back to the ship, and have it all to myself...
