Have you ever been to New Orleans before? That is one place I want to see.

Actually, yes!

I went the first time when I turned 18 and was legally able to drink. My father, mother and I went on a post-graduation trip, and stopped there first ON my 18th birthday. Pat O's (at the time there was only one.) and continued onwards on a longer trip to NY, Niagra, Michigan etc. Travel with a 5th wheel trailer can be inexpensive and fun :-)

Then in college, on easter break our choir spent the week traveling and performing and ended up in N.O.

Then my first year of marriage we took a trip there. And that's the last time I've been.

I do love the city, though.

Wow - you have been there lol.

I have been hearing a lot about the bad crime wave that has happened since Katrina. We were actually set to sailout of NO a couple of months after Katrina hit. we had to go out of Galveston instead.

Anything "must see" in New Orleans? The cemeteries really intrigue me - not to stay permanently - just to visit :o)

What do you consider the best bets for food there?
