No matter whether is it custom air or regular cruiseline air you can choose your seats, but it isn't through the cruiseline. They automatically assign them. You need to call, or have your TA call, the airline and arrange the seating. They don't do that for you with a cruise booked with the cruiseline or an internet agency.
