Cruise Ships infirmary

Unfortunately we did once. My wife got really seasick once, on the Tahatian Princess. They gave her some meds and she recovered quite nicely though. Actually during that same cruise the infirmary was busy. An elderly passenger died despite resusitative efforts and at least twp passengers had to be off loaded for health crises.

Okay.. stupid question. If you use it for anything..sea sickness, etc. what do they charge?

I don't know this fr a fact Shaunna but it was my understanding some charges they might impose can be covered by a good travel insurance policy...

Oh BTW here at CruiseCrazies there are no "stupid Questions" just questions from posters looking for the correct answers!!

My DH did on our last cruise. How do I put this delicately, he had diarrhea. The nurse wanted him to come down and fill out a bunch of forms, I told her he could not leave the cabin, so we took the forms back to him, had them filled out and returned to the infirmary. She gave him some pills (although she said she shouldn’t, because she did not actually see him) I can’t remember what they were, but they worked pretty fast. He could not leave the cabin until he saw her the next day, so he could not go on the Athens excursion with us. They even blocked his card so he could not exit the ship, but he had a note from the nurse and they allowed him to leave the next day. Carnival did not hesitate in refunding his excursion fee since he was not able to go on the excursion. No Charge.
