Carnival Cruise Lines is offering a sneak peak of the 130,000-ton Carnival Dream in new online renderings of the ship, slated to be the line's largest when it debuts in September 2009.

The images are available at carnival.com/dream, and show some of the features that will be firsts for Carnival, such as the Ocean Plaza, a new indoor/outdoor entertainment area, and a water park with what Carnival touts will be the largest waterslide at sea.

The new images also give a first look at the 23,750-square-foot Cloud 9 Spa, Carnival’s largest, and a new area called The Lanai, a wrap-around promenade that encircles the ship.

The renderings also show off the Dream’s new “cove balcony” cabins, a new room category located close to the waterline.

Currently under construction in Italy, the ship will enter service with three 12-day Mediterranean cruises from Rome, before crossing the pond to Port Canaveral, Fla., where the ship will operate year-round, seven-day cruises beginning Dec. 12, 2009.

I am looking forward to going on the Dream on it's first two cruises out of NYC this November. My wife always likes going on a new ship. We also enjoy traveling out of NYC so this will be good.
