smw0621
We'll be cruising in almost a week now (yay!), we're looking to go to Orient Beach in St. Marten, any thoughts? hints? etc????
DebbieandJerry
There are many entrances to the beach. The first time we went, the taxi driver took us to the public entrance. Quite literally, anything goes. The beach is rather "colorful" to say the least, but very populated. Only towels in the sand, no chairs or chaise lounges. The second time we went, we took the "ferry" from the dock to the beach. Again, this was the public sector and very crowded. Last year, our taxi driver took us to the resort entrance. This part of the beach is much smaller. However, there are chairs, umbrellas, cabanas, etc and not nearly as populated. Most of the "guests" were European and very heavily pierced. There were body parts pierced that I didn't know could be pierced (ouch). Now, you have to understand that our husbands stayed back with the taxi drivers. As curious as they were, they only wanted to hear what we saw, not see what we saw. There was one cruise guest who apparently didn't put on enough sun screen because he was quite burnt that night at dinner.
