Hi All,

I will be sailing the Explorer of the Seas out of Cape Liberty, Bayonne NU March 19-28, 2010. I have not found any recent reviews or info on this ship....can anyone help? Also I had another posting abut the pier @ Cape Liberty because I heard it is congested and there are long waits to drop off point and that the terminal is an open tent?? :ohmy: We are in the Royal Family Suite and was wondering if they had a room to wait for those in suites? Any help would be greatly appreciated :smile: Lynn

Lynn - We have sailed on the Explorer a couple of times but not recently. Getting to the terminal can be a bit of a hassle - it is a one lane road leading into the terminal. Once you get to the terminal they have a tent type structure where you will drop off your luggage and then go park your car (if you are driving yourself) You then go into a building - not a tent - and I believe they have a room for suite passengers. I know they have one for Diamond passengers and I believe the suite passengers go there. There will be people inside the building to direct you. Simply tell them you are in a suite. Once you are checked in they will have juice and cookies for you as you wait for a bus to drive you to the ship. They run continually - the ship is right there but it is an industrial area and they will not allow you to walk. It sounds bad but it really isn't. Enjoy the Royal Family suite and have a great cruise.

You have now set me straight...lol....ur post was VERY helpful and I appreciate it! :thumbup: I have posted in the meeting hall, however it looks like noone else is going and we are gonna have the ship to ourselves... :biggrin: I was hoping I would run into someone on here who has recently went on teh Explorer. Most reviews are at least a coupe of years old :sad2: I will have to be sure to do a review on it when I get back so there is a more updated one :smile: . Thanks again for your reply! Lynn
