We have a lot of highly experienced cruisers on this board, So.....

What is your ideal time to arrive at your ship for boarding??

For us, at U.S. ports we try to arrive at 1:30 PM if we have control over the arrival. Flight arrival times or hotel checkout times can effect that time.

We like to get on the ship ASAP so usually around noon for us

Certainly before Noon.. sooner on board, sooner get to eat and check things out. Don't really care if the room is ready or not or if I have to wait a while to get on board.

The earlier the better for us also. We are generally on the ship eating lunch by Noon.

We live just an hour or so from Canaveral....so we like to drop off the baggage around 10:30 or 11.....get thru the lines....and enjoy lunch on the Lido....and explore the ship.

Yup, for us we try to get to the terminal around 11:30 or so and get through the registration, pics, etc. Had a real smooth quick entry last time on HAL in Vancouver. We'll see how it goes on FLL in November on board the Nieuw Amsterdam. We enjoy getting lunch and checking out the ship and all the nooks and crannies. We like to tour the spa area and check out any specials. We're just glad to get on board and start our vacation. We like to get to the cruise city the day before to avoid any flight problems. We also like to shop for a few bottles of wine to take on board to celebrate!
