Hi Everyone...does anyone have anything to share about Carnival's newer ship, "The Breeze?" We will be sailing on her in September. Any views on the ship, the food, entertainment, service, etc. Any thoughts on tours, or anything?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Hi Shari! We haven’t sailed Carnival Breeze yet, but we’ve only heard good things about her!

Regarding food: Carnival has re-arranged their menu so read it carefully. You don’t want to miss anything and you should always try whatever they have listed under “Didja Ever” – you might be surprised!

Regarding tours: do you mean shore excursions? If so, what itinerary are you sailing?

Happy cruising!

Thanks so much for that information, Michael and Amy. Yes...I did mean shore excursions...also, places to shop, or anything of interest. We will be stopping at Aruba, Dominican Republic/ La Romana; Grand Turk and Caicos; and Curacao. We have been to Aruba and Grand Turk.

So glad you've heard good things about the "Breeze." I'll have to remember that about the menu.

One trip to Grand Turk we got a private cabana right off the dock at the Margaritaville pool for six of us – so not worth it. The other trip we waited until afternoon and found a cab driver at the port who agreed to give us a full island tour for $10.00 total for four of us! It seems that after the morning rush they’re pretty desperate for business so there are good deals to be found!

Sounds like you got a great deal with the island tour. We may just do something like that. We have, in the past, at ports, taken tours with someone right at the ship and had a great tour...especially one we did years back in Hawaii...Maui...we had a young man with a van who told us all about the island and stopped whenever we wanted to stop somewhere, etc. It was great! Thanks Michael and Amy!
