RCI bans emotional support animals

Hmmm. So what do other cruise lines do? 

This as the article says is not to be confused with service animals. Those will still be allowed.

I personally am happy to see the ban on emotional support animals; I have only encountered a couple of small support dogs on cruises, but I could see the potential for abuse such as is happening on airplanes.   I would support trying to accommodate passengers who are truly in need, if there could be better regulation and a training regimen similar to what therapy animals go through.
