  1. I wake up early, get a cup of tea from the continental breakfast buffet, and hang out by the rail on the top deck to watch the sun rise. This is followed by my daily walk-a-mile on the promenade or jogging deck. Then, I return to the cabin to freshen up, and we go as a family to the dining room for a full breakfast. After that, my husband usually takes our son to the pool while I grab a chair on the promenade deck, usually under the lifeboats, to do some reading and sea viewing. After lunch (again in the dining room), we'll nap, and then hit the pool in the mid-afternoon. I will occasionally go to lectures or trivia games. I save the casino for the late evenings. Oh, to be there now...

  5. Mebert, Thanks are not necessary. We're all here to support each other. I'm sure it will all work out for you. :)

  7. What a wonderful contribution. Portland is "home" to Scotia Prince for most of the year -- we keep meaning to take this short cruise to Nova Scotia but could never fit it in.

  9. PEB, you might have a lot company on your dream cruise -- sounds wonderful to me. :)

  11. Mebert, we also book our own air (unless it's one-way or an open jaw as Lisa mentioned) -- we are a family of three and the savings is substantial, plus we get to choose our flights without paying a deviation fee. I would have done the same as you. Hopefully, you can find another cruise that will allow you to keep your air arrangements.
