  1. Thanks for everyone's input. I agree with going on Celebrity but the room on Celebrity would be on a low deck (I think the lowest deck for an outside room - Continental deck) and my friend would rather have a higher deck on the Princess for a comparable price. For the amount of time you spend in your room, I could even take an inside room on the lowest deck, but my friends prefers Princess, so I guess this cruise will be on Princess. But next time, it'll be Celebrity for sure..... Marcy
  2. Hi, we are trying to decide between the Caribbean Princess and the Celebrity Millenium for our next cruise next February. The prices are pretty much the same - which one would you veteran cruisers pick and why? The itineraries are a little different - actually the Celebrity ship visits more ports. They are both out of Fort Lauderdale. We've been on Princess a few times in the past and also on Royal Caribbean but never on Celebrity. My travel agent says Princess and Celebrity and equal and a step above RCI. Do you agree with her rating? Also, Holland America's Westerdaam is also in the running - where would you place that cruise? Thanks for any input you can give us. Marcy
  3. Trying out my cruise countdown clock again - it didn't work when i posted my note. 12/4 Explorer Cruise I followed directions exactly - HELP!!!! Marcy
  4. Hi, our next cruise is Explorer of the Seas on Dec. 4th this year. We have been on this ship a few years ago and loved it. Marcy 12/4 Explorer Of The Seas Cruise
  5. Last month we sailed on the Diamond Princess to Mexico and it was wonderful. The food on Princess ships is very good and I would recommend it to a younger couple. We also enjoy days at sea more than port days, and you don't have to get off the ship on days in port if you don't want to. Royal Caribbean is a comparable cruise line - comparable in price, cabin size and layout, food etc. I did like RC entertainment a little better - they had "name" entertainment usually. But Princess entertainment is good. You won't go wrong with either Princess or RC. If you go when school is in session, there won't be many kids. We are planning our next cruise now and trying to decide between Princess or RC (or Celebrity) - but whatever we end up choosing, will be wonderful without a doubt! Good luck making your decision! Marcy
  6. Thanks Shari, I've heard good things about Celebrity and requested a brochure from them. marcy
  7. Hi, I have been on 3 RC cruises(Monarch, Splendour and Explorer) and 2 Princess cruises (Star and Diamond). Our next cruise will be in December to the Caribbean. I'm not really concerned with ports (have been on 3 Caribbean cruises and to me, most of the ports are interchangeable) but would like recommendations which cruise line we should book. We like the Voyager series of RC and am considering the Navigator for next cruise. But Princess was great also - and I'd like to try Celebrity too. Is Celebrity a lot more than RCI/Princess prices? Is it worth the upcharge? We are planning this for December. Any ideas? I think RCI and Princess are pretty comparable with the entertainment on RCI just a bit better - more well known entertainers. The food was very comparable and good in both Princess and Royal Carib. Any ideas, recommendations? We prefer leaving from Florida - preferably Fort Lauderdale. Marcy
