Hi there! I'm new to cruising myself, but there is always travel insurance. That way if something does come up (for example a lot of hurricanes during that week) and you want to cancel, you can cancel and get all your money back. That is the wonderful thing about travel insurance! Always worth it in my eyes! Have a blast, I leave on Wednesday for my first cruise through Western Europe and am so excited! Hi all, yep, I don't know how i'll top Europe as this is a trip i've been wanting to do since i've been a little girl...have always dreamed of going to Paris, even if it is just for a few hours. I'm so sorry this happened to those people! I for one have never been on a cruise before, so I do plan on taking the life boat muster seriously (while taking lots of pictures lol). Hi all, thanks so much!! All packed and ready to go, sleeping over at my parents house on Saturday night so they can take me to the airport first thing Sunday morning. I haven't flown since before 9/11 so i'm kind of nervous...hoping i'll be able to keep myself occupied and not thinking that i'll be flying over ocean water most of the way which I have never done before. Will write all about it when I get home....am keeping a journal for my scrapbook and plan to write in it every night so I don't forget what happened each day. :) Talk to ya'll when I get back! Hi Jennifer! What a great idea about the munchies and the cards! Will be sure to bring both. Do they offer bottled water on international flights? I know they do on domestic and it is free. Unfortunately my last portable cd player broke and I haven't had the $ to get an ipod or anything like that, so i'll have to use the airline's radio if they have it on there. Hi everyone! Well actually less than a week to go if you don't count today! I'm so excited...could hardly sleep last night, and today all day i've been thinking this time next week i'll be on a plane to London! I have my $$ in the bank ready for use over there....woohoo! Now I just have to count down. Anything special I should pack in my carry on for the long flight? I'm guessing i'll be in airports and on planes for about 13-15 hours that day....have NEVER been that long on a plane before! I do plan on wearing a jogging suit with a zippered front with a tank underneath in case I get hot on the plane (which normally I get cold), and sandals with socks in my carry on in case my feet get cold. My roomie is hopefully sitting next to me on the plane, and she's bringing a DVD player for the flight so hopefully she'll let me watch with her. :) I'm so excited....only 6 days to go! Hi everyone! Just had to give a shout that I now have my final documents for my trip! The luggage tags for the cruise are pretty cool, I can't put those on until I reach London though. Also have my plane tickets, and some other information for my cruise group that i'm going with. We have a total of 28 people going in our group. I'm so excited, not much longer now! Also have a packet from Princess regarding my excursions, cabin, etc. I board on Gangplank A...pretty cool. :) WOOHOO!!!!!!!! ~Keri~ 1st cruise~Golden Princess~Western European Capitals 10 days until London! :shocked:

I have weighed it on my bathroom scale, but it doesn't seem right to me. Would a UPS store or someplace like that weigh it for me? Hi everyone! Just got an email from my school stating that our TA has our final documents for the cruise! I'm so excited! They will be mailing them to our school this week, then my school will be mailing them to us, so hopefully i'll have them by early next week! I just had to make a shout! WOOHOO! :cheesy: PS-I passed all my classes this semester, and so i'm graduating on Friday! Another thing to be excited about! (actually, more relieved than anything lol) ~Keri~ 20 days to go!!!

Hi everyone! Only 25 days to go until I take off! Anything I should be doing during this time? All booked on my excursions, found some people on another board that i'm going to share a cab with to the Anne Frank House which i'm really excited about, will save me $100 for the excursion from Princess. I graduate next Friday, so need to get past that hump then i'm free to travel! In fact, may need to fly to a few places for interviews (between graduation and my cruise) that I have in the works...a possible one in Seattle, and one in south Texas. And I also have another possible one in my old school district where I went to high school...will be weird if I get a job there, lol...i'd know a lot of people who work there! Anyway, just wondering if there was anything I should be doing, or if I should just get excited and count down the days. :grin: I can't wait!!!! Keri 25 days until London! 27 days until cruise!

I filled out the passenger immigration form online, and I have my passport and drivers license as well as the credit card that I registered. Any other papers/identification that i'll need? Hi there! I know i'm new to the boards and have never been on a cruise, but i'm packing my own hand sanatizers that you can get at walmart or costco for pretty cheap. That way I will always have them on me....better safe than sorry!! :cheesy:
