  1. Open jaw happens when a cruise starts from one point and ends at another. Then your air has to be one way to the start point and one way home from the end point. You can book it on your own but I have usually found that in this case it is usually cheaper to take the cruise line offering. Cruznut2
  2. Since I am a home agent for a cruise only agency I usually book my own cruises. I have on occasion found a great deal with another agency and will go with that. Regardless of how I find my cruise I almost always book my own air. The exception would be if it were open jaw, then I let the cruise line book it for me. Cruznut2
  3. Hello Cruise Crazies, My name is Laura. I started cruising back in the dark ages in 1983. My first cruise was on Carnivals Festivale. From the moment I first stepped on her decks I was hooked. That wonderful first cruise was followed by Carnivals Mardi Gras, Home Lines Homeric. Carnivals Celebration two times, Celebrity Meridian. Last but certainly not least was Carnival Spirit. I am single but have a "gentleman friend", we live in NH's beautiful Lakes Region. I work for a company that manufactures surgical devices. I also work for a school for children with developmental disabilities. I cook there on the weekends. At home we take care of a lady that is slightly developmentally disabled. She is a joy to have around. She has been with us for 5 years. We just finished training to foster children with developmental disabilities. I have been selling cruises as an outside agent for some years now. I recently changed agencies and will be booking cruises from home for a large New England based agency. My next cruise is on Carnival Glory, Sept. 10 2005. I am taking my little friend Patty with me. Patty is the lady that lives with us. Looking forward to "meeting" the members of this cruise community. Laura aka Cruznut2
