Thanks to everyone for your bon voyage messages. As we're from the UK we're still at home! We fly out to Barcelona on the day of our cruise. Having seen some posts about buying shares in RCL and on board credits we rushed something through at the last minute and must say well done to RCL. We received confirmation via e-mail today that they had processed it and we now have $200 on board credit to enjoy. Just goes to show you can do it from the UK. We'll certainly let you all know what we think of Celebrity and Millennium in particular. Looking forward to it very much. Bye for now. Del.

Hi, One for the ladies I guess! My wife is wondering what the shampoo etc is like on board. She is thinking of taking her own favourite brand but it would save space etc if the on board stuff was decent. Does anybody know the brand they use and if it is any good? Del

Thanks JoeyandDavid, That answers our question perfectly. Perhaps you can help with another one. On our last cruise (P&O) we were able to take advantage of one of their wine packages. This meant you bought a booklet of wines and essentially you got 6 bottles for the price of 5. We would look at the evening's menu before dinner and select your wine to suit what we were going to be eating that evening. You then ordered your wine via telephone and it was ready waiting at your table when you arrived. It worked very well. As someone who is always on the lookout for a bargain I wonder if Celebrity offer similar packages? Del.

Hi everybody, Our cruise is coming up fast - just a few weeks away now - Millenium from Barcelona to Venice 12 days duration. We wanted to know from anyone who has been on this cruise or similar 12 night Celebrity cruise how the formal/informal/casual nights are spread and when they fall during the cruise. Similarly we assume there is a captains dinner and would be keen to find out when that is during the cruise. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Del.

Hi, We're due on Millennium in summer crusing around Europe. A couple of questions folks might be able to help out with: We seem to be on a wait list for late dining even although we booked early. We've never had this before as we've always managed to have confirmation of our chosen option. How does this work? When do we get to know if we've been successful with our choice? Also anyone been on recent Celebrity cruise to comment on quality of food?. Recent posts in various places seem to suggest their style of food doesn't suit a lot of folk. Thanks for replies. We're looking forward to our cruise already even tho' it is still almost 3 months away. Some say the atmosphere etc is less formal on Celebrity ships. Does this mean there is less of an expectation to see people in tuxedos and formal dresses etc on the formal nights? Celebrity certainly sounds great! We can't wait to experience things for ourselves. On our last cruises we met quite a few folk from USA and Canada which made it more enjoyable than having only fellow Brits on board. Will there be a reasonable mix between nationalities on a "Millie" Med cruise in summer ? Delbankin

Hi to everyone. Just joined up :smiley: We're from the UK and we are cruising the Mediterranean this summer on board Celebrity Millennium. This will be our first with Celebrity having cruised before with P&O and Cunard. I guess it would be useful to have some of you good folks opinions on what we can expect from Celebrity and Millennium in particular that make them different from others. I have read some recent reports that suggest food isn't what it used to be - that would be disappointing. I've probably got the font all wrong and probably will post this message in the wrong place but if anybody reads it who can give me some useful feedback I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks.
