  1. Hello all! I'm a cruise noob, but a long time computer geek, so if I fit right in, I assure you it's got nothing to do with my cruising experience! I tend to lurk and learn on message boards until I have something useful to add, or a lame attempt at humor slips out. :) My wife and I started investigating cruises about eleven years ago, but never took one before my son was born. They never warn you how much raising a kid right sets your bank account back! But we're almost ready to give a shot once again, so we're exploring ideas. Right now we're living just north of Portland, OR in the USA's version of Vancouver. This should make it easy to take a trip up to Seattle for a cruise! Seems like mostly Alaska voyages from there, or the to/from Alaska seasonal ship re-homings. Our only real worry is our son - he seems worried about getting sea sick. He has gotten car sick a couple times, but mostly when he's already ill to start with. If anyone has some safe remedies on that front, we'd be greatly appreciative to hear them! We now return you to your regularly scheduled cruise planning. Have yourselves an AWESOME day! :) PS - I have ten thumbs, and they don't always get along, so please forgive my 10 typo per minute typing "skills". They also don't stand much chance of keeping up with my faster than light speed brain, which can cause altogether different problems understanding what to heck I'm talking about. :)
  2. Gee, aren't internet burps just awesome sometimes?
