FRIDAY - OCTOBER 21st

Good morning Crazies.    We have made it through another crazy week where we had temps into the mid 80's one day and were under a frost warning last night.  Too dark to see if that really happened but it wouldn't surprise me.

Deb is going away for a girls weekend with some co-workers this morning so the kids will be here til Sunday.    I'm sure I will find something to do to amuse the kids.

Ray - I must admit that although I have this fast food down to a science I very rarely do it.   Perhaps once every other month I might be passing my and drop in.   We are more leftovers from the night before lunch folks here.   I love going out for breakfast - too much work to do all of that yourself and we generally do that after church on Sunday.

Jan - I LOVE that idea of the foam brick.   Jim sure could use one of those around here.      At least you can send your girls for the milk if they want it.    There is nothing close by to send TJ for although if Paige was here I could send her.   EEK!   Can't believe she is driving.    

Andi - I also LOVE your stuffed referee.    I need to start looking for these things for Jim.    All he usually does is throw the remote or know over a glass of wine  (red, of course)    Have fun with Lucas this afternoon.      

Time to fold the towels from last night and then after it's light, hit the grocery store.

Good morning again Crazies.   Nothing quite like having an 11 year old pour spoiled milk on his cereal to start your day off.     He's not here nearly as often as he used to be and he is a big milk drinker so I guess we will just have to buy smaller amounts more often when we know he will be here.

Ray - Glad to hear all is well with you despite some aches and pains.     Sorry Yuki is still having breathing issues.   This ever changing weather is not good for those of us with those issues.     It took me a lot of research to come up with the perfect burger and fries combo.     Perhaps I should take my Wendy's burger and Burger King fries and sit in MacDonalds to eat them.    

Jan - It sounds like you had a wonderful girls weekend despite some rain.    Such a beautiful part of our country .  You are right about the ever changing weather.    A/C on last night - heat on tonight.

Andi - You seem busier than ever in retirement.    I would really have to believe in a cause to get up at 4:45 for a meeting.   Heck, I don't even get up at that hour for a cruise.

WEDNESDAY - OCTOBER 19th

Good morning Crazies.     Another summer like day heading our way with temps into the 80's.   This is crazy but after today it should become more fall like.

If you are interested my cruise review is finally posted.

Shari - Like you, I only use my handicapped parking sign when I'm having a bad day.   Otherwise I park elsewhere and walk.     It is good to have though when you need it.     Our local grocery store just turned 1/2 of their handicapped spaces to "expectant mother parking"  so it's really hit or miss that I find a spot.    The one that really gets me is the "Associate of the Month" spot right up front.      That person will be parked there all day long.    Oh well, guess I should be thankful for what they do have for us.

I hope everyone is OK.  It's awfully quiet here.

TUESDAY - OCTOBER 18th

Good morning Crazies.     It looks like we have a few days of warmer temps heading our way with today's high reaching 80 again.    I wish Mother Nature would make up her mind.     I hope to get more done today than I did yesterday, because yesterday was one of those flop from the chair to the couch days.    It's sad when it takes so long to recover from a few hours of fun.      

Andi - I somehow believe you will have a book discussion group in your future.  :-)    In Staten Island we had a Progressive Dinner group.    We met every 6 to 8 weeks and at the end of that dinner chose where our next menu's would come from.   Lots of research on habits, foods, drinks, etc.    It was so much fun.   I tried so hard to get one going here but had no luck.    I also don't think their idea of fine dining and ours would match.     

Shari - I'm glad you are adjusting to the large TV in your room and glad that Marc let the professionals put it up.   I hope you can keep up with everything going on this week and really hope your Neurologist has some answers for you.      Do you have a Handicapped parking sticker?    I would definitely look into getting one if you don't have one already.    If you do have one take it to the Concert with you as it seems most of the Handicapped spots are near the elevators.    I hope you really enjoy the concert.     I did start working on my review yesterday but was boring myself with it I was so tired.    I'll get back to it today.

Ray - Hope all is OK with you.

Jan - Safe travels home.    We can't wait to hear all about your trip

Time to get Jim up and moving.   He has an appointment in Wilkes-Barre at the VA early this morning.    How a man can "lose" a hearing aid is beyond me but somehow he managed to do it

MONDAY - OCTOBER 17th

Good morning Crazies.    A great time was had by all at the O'Brien - McManus wedding last night.     I see my cousins fairly often but rarely see their children and it was fun catching up with them.   Beth & Eddie are now off on their honeymoon starting their lives together.   

As for the great burger debate having burger and fries is a two stop trip for us.    First the burger from Wendy's and then down the street to Burger King for fries.    

Jan - I showed Jim your video hoping to get him interested by it didn't work.      Oh well, I tried.    Enjoy the rest of your trip with the girls.

Andi - I hope you got your goof off day and your Cubs were able to pull off the game.     Jim was screaming and yelling watching his Giants nearly throw away a perfectly good game til they came back at the very last minute to pull off the win.

Good morning Crazies.     It looks like a nice day for the wedding.   Our little Beth starts a new life as a wife today.   Wishing the newlyweds all the best.     The best part of course is getting together with all my cousins.   It's always a fun time and we don't get to do it often enough.

Miranda - it sounds like you are having a very nice weekend and enjoying some nice weather.     I'm with you in wishing we had other options in this election but it is what it is.

Andi - Enjoy your goof off day - if anyone deserves it that would be you.      Good luck to your Cubs.

Good morning Crazies and happy weekend.      Other than the wedding tomorrow night we have a nice clear weekend with no other plans.     Maybe we will get some outside Halloween decorations up.   Hopefully we will work in dinner out tonight as well.

Andi - Good luck with your presentation.   I'm sure you will do a great job.    I'll go check out your review once I finish up here.

Good morning Crazies.    TGIF - this has been a long week for some reason and we are looking forward to a family wedding this weekend.    I just wish it wasn't Sunday night.  At least we won''t have to get up for work on Monday.

Shari - So good to see you posting and hear that you are doing OK.     Like Andi - thanks for the reminder about posting my cruise review.    It completely slipped my mind with all that has been going on.   I will make a note to get to it next week.

THURSDAY - OCTOBER 13th

Good morning Crazies.      How is everyone doing as fall approaches?     The nights sure are great for sleeping if you remember to close the bedroom window first.    :-)

We had the kids staying over last night - haven't done that in a while and just dropped Ash off at her house to get the bus.   Now just have to get TJ up and moving.

Shari - Congrats on the new TV.      My job around here is after Jim leaves for the Y in the morning is to go from room to room turning OFF the tv's as he goes from room to room turning all of them on.   Drives me slightly crazy.

Jan - Good luck on the garage clean out.    We gave Deb an ultimatum several weeks ago to come clean out her stuff and she did work a few hours but I swear she added more stuff to the pile instead of taking it away.       If I had my way we would get rid of all the tv's in our house

WEDNESDAY - OCTOBER 12th

Good morning Crazies  A nippy 40 degrees here - definetely  light jacket or heavy sweater weather.  I didn't get very far with washing sweaters yesterday but did get all the sweat shirts and pants done.     Making small inroads into the clothes switch but also finding lots of things that others can use.

Andi - Welcome home - I'm glad you had a nice weekend away with the family.    The surprise party was a lot of fun and Joy was shocked (especially since her birthday is in June)     

Ray - Is Yuki all recovered from her broncitis by now?    I sure hope so but know from experience how it can linger on and on and on.

Jan - I've been cranking up the heat every morning for a short while to take the chill out of the back bedroom.

Ray - I'm with you.   There is not any way to make heads or tails out of our choices at the polls this year.     I can't wait for it to be over and can only say "God help our country" no matter which way this goes.

MONDAY - OCTOBER 10th

Good morning Crazies.      Brrr - temps dropped down to 40 last night with strong winds so felt even colder.   I guess I need to speed up the dreaded clothes switch.   

I hope all affected by Matthew are getting their power back and returning to normal.   No problems here but lots of damage around us.   We somehow managed to escape the worst part of the storm.

Ray - I always try to keep my desk neat and tidy but between our cruise, our anniversary party and the heart walk I lost complete control of it.   Slowly getting things back in order and now is the time to work on our January trip to Florida.    Also I will try to get my cruise review started this week.

Time to make breakfast and make my monthly trip to walMart.     I really dread that but running low on all paper goods.

Good morning Crazies.    Sending prayers to all our friends and family in Florida who are really getting hit hard with Matthew.    I hope it moves on quickly.

Ray - Glad to hear that Yuki is finally feeling better.     Enjoy your free time while you can.

Shari - I'm sorry to hear you got no satisfaction from the mattress company.      I hope you find a solution to replacing it soon.    I agree though that I would not like the idea of strangers parading through my bedroom.

Andi - Enjoy your weekend away.     I know I could convince Ash & TJ on Disney but don't think Paige & Colin are interested - possibly because their other grandparents live only 1 hour from there and they are in the "been there - done that" phase right now.

Today's the day to rearrange the dust so I'd better get it done.

Good morning Crazies.  A rather nippy 45 here in Pa. this morning but dry.    I guess I have to get more serious about bringing up the winter clothes.    

Jan -   I hope you are feeling better today and got some relief from your vertigo.    I just hate that feeling.   I can generally get mine under control in a couple of days.    I know mine is caused by using ear plugs at night but I have to decide whether to use the ear plugs or stare at the ceiling all night listening to JIm's CPAP machine.

Ray - I hope you got that do nothing day you were hoping for.      

Andi - We have not been to Disney in years but would love one more trip before the kids get too old to want to be seen in public with us.    lol

Good morning Crazies.   Hoping everyone in the path of Matthew stays safe.   This is one mean storm.    

Jan - I get that vertigo all the time.   It's the pits but I find if I catch it fast enough Bonine helps some.  I have prescription meds but they knock me out so I don't use them too often.    I'm sure you are looking forward to planning that Disney trip

Ray - It's just awful when people use your services and then refuse to pay for them.     I like your thinking about the clothes switch.

Good morning Crazies.    Looks like another fall day here in Pa.     We never did get to drive up to the mountains and all the color will be gone soon.     Not a great year for leaf viewing from what I heard.

Jan - I'm sorry to hear that Jenn is sick and really hope she doesn't pass the bug on to you.   It's good to hear that your knee held up well with all the stair climbing.       Good luck with your garage sale.   I gave up on those a few years ago.    I've found putting stuff outside with a FREE sign on it takes care of getting rid of things really fast.

Ray - I'm sure you put a smile on the faces of the silver-haired ladies.  I wish my clothes switch was 2 drawers and 2 bins.    Mine is a full time job.    I really have to get rid of some of it (and not at a garage sale)

Andi - I'm glad you had a nice day watching football.     Not my thing at all so Jim watches the games and I go to the mall.     I don't think there is any doubt that your grandson would love a trip to DisneyWorld.    Good luck working on your daughter to make it happen.

Good morning Crazies.     The wedding yesterday was lovely and we had a very nice time although everything was moved indoors.   It really didn't matter since they had the A/C cranked up full blast and it was colder insider and outside.  Now Mr. & Mrs. Lee are off on their honeymoon and beginning to live their lives happily ever after.

Miranda - Congrats on the new cruise booking.      We have to book something soon - it's no fun only having 1 future cruise booked.      Happy birthday to your nephew.

Andi - Congrats on a do-nothing weekend.    You should have one of them more often.

Good morning Crazies.     Today is the big day for Jeremy & Hailey.    Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness.

Good morning Crazies.     Another cool day with lots of rain on tap here.    I need to get out to get my nails done for tomorrow so hopefully I can time that in between the rains.    

Ray-   I'm happy to hear that Yuki is doing better except for the conjunctivitis.    I'm sure you are trying to stay away from that.    Good luck with the ROG.    We gave Deb an ultimatum on our garage - She cleans it out on Sunday or it all goes out (unopened) for trash pick up on Sunday night.

Jan - If I set my thermostat on 60 I'd be wearing a coat inside.    

Andi - A whole weekend of doing nothing?    That is a rare treat so enjoy it.

THURSDAY - SEPTEMBER 29th

Good morning Crazies.   I finally had to break down and turn on the heat this morning for a bit.    I'm not sure if it is the rain or the chill in the air but I was sitting at the computer in my PJ's with a sweater on.   Not a lot on my to do list today.

Jan - I'm so sorry to hear about Sophie.   Our pets surely do become part of our family.      I probably would have opened that bottle of wine after the day you had.   Congrats on figuring out the postage meter.    

Andi - It surely sounds like you picked up a bug on your flight home.   Feel better.    We have always had middle of the night trash pick up.    It's so annoying because the workers seem to feel that since they have to be up - everyone should be up.    They make quite a racket.   

I guess breakfast is in order next.
