Thanks Howard I began doing what it said to do but do ya know how many balcony cabins there are haha. So I skipped to the suites as this is all I think I can check today and have 5 more to go so far no luck. Maybe it should be a suprise like a christmas gift. I'll do some more later but gosh darn I am not the most patient person I know LOL. I read on a board somewhere that u can find out your cabin # when u get your doc. Maybe I'll just wait it out unless I find lots of time on my hands. Or unless someone has a suggestion on where to start. Okay Shari and Howard, I'll keep posting as I get closer and then from the Milano hotel in SJ. MiaTai I'll have to remember that never had one but heard of them and sound good. My parents don't drink but hey I am 42 I can. I also found a tour we will look into, it's call the now I can't spell it I am sure but it's biolumious or something close to that. I thought maybe I would start at 60 days out with a few details about our upcoming cruise, if that is alright with ya'll. First off my first cruise was on Carnival with my DH for our 10th wedding anniv. I surprised him with a balcony cabin. We had a wonderful time and we both loved the balcony. Now for this time. My mom is retired from AA Eagle so we get flight benefits. So when mom says lets fly somewhere for our christmas trip this next yr I said I inow a cruise. Some where sunny and warm. So we booked the Destiny b/c of the ports of call. I want to see Barbados and Aruba. Because we fly stand by we have decided to fly out on the 16th which is three days before the cruise. We booked our hotel today we decided on the Milano, anyone stayed here. We picked it for the location and the rooftop resturant we can sit at and watch the ships come into port and leave on sat and then watch the destiny sail into port. Not sure what we are gonna do while in San Juan my 13 yr old daughter wants to shop of course haha. And the forts are a must and the churchs. I think we'll just kinda do whatever we feel like.Anyone have any must do suggestions for San Juan? I want to relax and maybe post a bit from San Juan to the board. I'll do a review of the Milano before we leave so it will be fresh in my mind and then let me concentrate on the cruise. If that's okay with everyone. I know this board doesn't have a lot of posts but ya'll are very nice and welcoming and thought I could contribute a bit to it. Thanks gina

Thanks for the welcome gogetter. Shari I am not to worried about an upgrade ,on the first cruise DH and I got a balcony and this time I just coudn't stand the thought of not having one so I will be happy upgrade or not. As for the cameras and film, I am taking a digital, a mini camcorder, and reg 35 mm cam, plus the lap top so I can download pics from the memory stick straight to the computer. And oh yes lest I forget daughter is bringing several waterproof cams too. As for the review I will try each night to write down the highlights and my impressions of the day. Details of the menu prices of drinks umm and try to get important things about the ship jotted down to. Boat ride I think on our first cruise to St Thomas I did go up to Paradise Point if it's where they were serving this punch stuff that I drank mine then DH and was lightheaded the trip down . Since you like St Thomas should we go to the Castle there? We didn't last time we just went to Magens Bay then to P Point but I am thinking I would like the Castle and my parents who are going with us said they would enjoy that they think. Gina

I have been asking on different boards and got some answers but it never hurts to get lots of advice. I'll tell our ports just in case someone here has any must not miss tours or sites. we go to St Thomas, Dominica, Barbados and Aruba. I am a past guest with Carnival we went on the Sensation in 97 for out 10 wedding anniversary so they have my past guest # and we booked a balcony that trip and also this one but this time we just did a gar. room . What are the chances of us getting an upgrade to an upper deck not looking for a suite would be nice but not a must. This is my daughters first cruise so I wanted to make sure she had a balcony to see from as we leave or arrive. Thanks

Hi I was just wondering if anyone here was sailing on the destiny on dec 19. Or if there was anyone that has sailed recently on the Destiny and could tell me about the kids/teens program i am taking my 13 yr old daughter and would love to know there is someone sailing her age that she could email and get to know before the cruise.
