  1. What an awesome milestone well worth splurging on; congratulations !!! I just got back from a HAL cruise, and there is so much to do as far as celebrating. I would look into a shore excursion or two that the whole family could enjoy. Eating in the main dining room is like a celebration every night; they were bringing cakes to so many tables that had a birthday or anniversary. I hope you all have a great cruise.
  2. Dh and I do not own watches. I am an Internet addict, and thought I would really have computer withdrawal, but there was so much to do on the cruise that I completely forgot about my computer stuff. We locked our cell phones in our safe and didn't check voicemails either! One thing, though, we were on the Alaska HAL cruise and our cabin did not have a clock. The time zones shifted several times, and we had to keep watching the ship channel and waiting for the time to come up so we would know when meals and special events were. I didn't feel like resetting my cell phone time.
  3. Hello, I purchased my cruise many months ago (HAL inside passage) and am leaving for Seattle tomorrow! I pushed the cruise out of my mind until the last minute so I could go on with work, but now I realize I don't know some very basic things! One of the things I am puzzled about is that the ship will stop at different cities, and I assume we have the option of coming and going to and from the ship. Hope I am right; and are we free to go back and forth more than once? I did not purchase any shore excursions, so what if I get bored, tired or hungry and need to go back to my "home" while we are docked? Thanks if anyone can clue me in on this very basic question!
  4. Thank you so much for your good wishes. My heart is pounding with excitement. I cannot imagine what a big, huge ship looks like even after seeing photographs. I hope I have wonderful news to share upon my return.
