If you contacted the flu just before your departing date, would you cancel? We are less than a week before we leave for Tampa and have been trying to avoid crowds. It is very hard to do at this time of the year with the Christmas parties and get togethers with the family. The flu is wide spread here in the Midwest. I have had a flu shot, however, Rita is allergic and has not. Would a cancellation due to the flu be valid for your cruise insurance? What do you think? Inquiring minds want to know! :P :P

GiWiz, If you booked your air thru the cruise line you don't have anything to worry about. If you booked it on your own we would advise contacting the cruise lines for this information. 2 or 3 PM for a 5 PM sail should be okay, but to be safe....

Anthony, A big welcome from Keith & Rita. We would speculate that it had something to do with the recent suicide bombings. A cruise ship in that area could be an attractive target for terrorist bent on killing innocent people.

Definitely sunsets. Rita and I took our first vacation together at Siesta Key and we fell in love with the sun melting into the sea. Watching it from a cruise ship is special!

We have been to Tulum and enjoyed it--especially the setting. Very beautiful. We also visited a small Mayan Ruins on a Jeep excursion on Cozumel.

Our wildest time was at Senior Frogs in Puerto Vallarta. We were with a group that included a truck driver who just got a new credit card and wanted to use it. His bar bill was $700.00. Don't feel sorry for him, however, he hit 2 slot jackpots on the Elation for 10 grand! Rita and I actually did the shooters a couple times. The wildest part was the race back to the ship in a blinding rain storm between our taxi and 2 others. Ours won and the driver got an extra tip. Rita says never again! :P :P
