Thanks to all for the replies, We have never had the opportunity to travel to the far north west and want to make the most of it. I think we will do a north bound on one ship and switch ships for the south bound, and yes we would love to spend a few extra days in Vancouver and sourounding areas. Now we just have to dicide what time of year and what ships, LOL Michelle

My sister and I are taking our first cruise in May on the Paradise , it is soooo much fun planning it all and I think we have done about all we can!! I am now looking at a cruise to Alaska with Hubby for next year and wondered if we should book a north bound and then a south bound or if you do just one then how to work the air back to either Seattle or Vancouver? Should we book now and do a guarentee balcony and hope we get upgrades or wait until just before to maybe get a good deal. We want to go in July or Aug. Thanks Michelle

My sister and I are going on our first cruise in May on Carnival Paradise and I have been spending 24/7 looking up things and I got the idea to start looking at a cruise I thought my husband would like . I found some great prices for a northbound and then a southbound Alaskan cruise and they were on the Mercury. I have not found much on this ship. Has anyone else sailed on her? Thanks for the help, Michelle

Dan, We don't sail until may 23rd and it will still be a non smoker at that time. I just ment that I was sorry it was changing at all.

:huh: My sister and I are taking a cruise for our birthdays in May. We will be sailing on Carnival Paradise. This is our first cruise(presant from hubbies) and we think we know what we want to do in Nassau and St Thomas but we havnt found much in the Dominican Republic.
