Hi All, I finally got a response from my TA and was told that since mine was a package deal it did not qualify for the discount. However, she talked with her manager and will give us $200 "off her commission". She said that's better than nothing. How true! Glad that some of you are getting the good discounts. Every penny saved on cost of cruise means more for extras.

Regarding dinner times - We tried late a few nights but Tom is diabetic and needs to eat earlier. We also do not like going to bed so soon after a big meal. I know we may be rushed or may even miss the dining room a night or two but we will manage. Sounds like Tom and I will be on a different schedule all together from you guys. We will not be arriving early to have a chance to meet with you and we will be at a different dining time. Bummer!! Oh well, I am sure we will run into you somewhere, sometime. Mary Ann

Tom and I will each have one large and one carryon. I will be cross packing in case of missing luggage :shocked: Also, do not want too much to shelp around Venice. Plan on using the ship's laundry if necessary and packing a weeks worth of clothes. Must leave space for purchases!! :grin: Mary Ann

Gail, The on line forms are on the Celebrity site. They ask for your personal information such as contact numbers, passport #, address, phone #, ect. If you do not fill them out on line, there will be forms in you document package to fill out. Just be sure to have them filled out before you get to the pier for checkin. Saves a bunch of time!! Also, there will be a form for the charge card and signatures for the sign and sail cards. We have always done this on line as well doing the express check in on line. Mary Ann

Joey, Didn't I read that they have a great Greek Buffet on deck the night we are in Santorini? I am looking forward to that. I also like to be in the dining room on the formal nights. Tom will not be bringing his tux on this trip, just a dark suit. Trying to keep the luggage weight down. Have any of you seen the ads for the new luggage with a built in scale? That would really help us.

Tom and I are thinking of making reservations for the Olympic on Oct. 31 and Nov.6. Both days will be short tour hours and we will have time to relax before dinner. Seems we might be rushed the other nights. I have a feeling we may not make it to our table each night that we have long tours. We will just play it by ear and do whatever is necessary to have a nice dinner - even room service if need be. Congrats to those who got a price reduction on the Sr. discounts. Joey, Great reduction!! I doubt we would qualify since we booked as a package deal. The price was pretty well set because of what all it included. I checked this morning with Delta about when we would have to reclaim luggage and was told it would be in the first city after leaving the US. For us that will be Milan. Sure hope there will be enough time between flights to do so and get rechecked.

Joey, I did not mean the addresses , just the state would be ok. I know we should find out this kind of stuff when we all meet face to face, but from the other board it shows in most CC'ers postings. Mary Ann

Shannon, We are going to activate the International Calling program with our Cingular phone. It works in about 180 countries and I think it is only $5.95 per month plus whatever minutes you use. The cost per minute may vary from country to country. And of course we hope to not have to use it unless for an emergency. We always leave contact info with family just in case. We will activate it in Sept or early Oct. and then discontinue it after returning home. That way we will be able to stay in contact with the private guides if need be. We were going to take our walkie talkies but read on one of these boards that you should not use them overseas. They have an 11 mile range. So hope the phone service will work ok. Chachabell, The last time we cruised as Elite they had a special departure location for us to wait and had coffee and danish for us. It was Micheal's Club the last time on Celebrity. It was not crowded at all. Mary Ann

Regarding the water taxi situation, I called my TA and since we will have a private transfer, we are covered. She said she was going to pass that info to others that may be affected. Joey, sure hope you are not in the middle of that heat wave. News of the deaths are so sad. We have booked another cruise over the holidays of Christmas and New Years. Back to Back on the Westerdam. Gail, I ordered the book Sat. and should have it in a few days. As to a group picture, the ship's photographer will take one and of course they want to sell each of us one. But, we could also get someone to use some of our cameras and take the same picture. Just a thought. They sometimes will have a photographer at the CC meeting.

Kareen, Great job. I know lots of time went into making it. Joey, thanks for the links. And you can activate my e-mail link also. Also starting to put aside "stuff" to take on trip. Will be taking fewer clothes than before and doing a lot of mixing and matching. The "stuff" takes up a lot of space and weight.
