We're having a little get together at our daughters house. Any excuse to see the grandbabies is alright by me, even if it does mean turning another year older...LOL

Thank you all for the kind and heartfelt well wishes. It's so wonderful to share such major milestones with you all and makes them that much more special.

Thanks Howard We also found out today that our daughter will be having a baby girl in December (they have twin boys) so we have many things to celebrate! Not to mention that yours truly is hitting the big 50 on Sunday

Joey, the best thing I like about the Connie is her decor and how classy she feels. However even that will be overshadowed greatly by being able to finally meet all of you wonderful cruise crazies. Welcome Back...... Welcome back...sounds like you had a wonderful time with fantastic weather!

DH and I stayed at Amerisuites (now Hyatt) that was very reasonably priced and offered free shuttle service to the port and from the airport as well as a wonderful full breakfast. It is 2 miles from the airport and 1/2 mile from Port Everglades. Just thought I mention it in case anyone was interested in checking it out.

Good Morning Everyone. I really like all of the hotel suggestions and am looking forward to see which one everyone finally decides on as we get closer to our date of sailing. It's another hot one here in Pittsburgh complete with heavy duty humidity and 90 degree temps Guess I'll just pretend I'm already in the Caribbean.....now where did I put those little umbrella thingys for my drink???...LOL Joey, why don't you post the finished pin and then you can get everyone's opinion? I'll bet most will agree that they are terrific and perfect just as they are! Have a great weekend everybody!

Sorry to burst your bubble Joey, but in the UK this past week all the truck drivers went on strike because of the oil prices and there was gridlock in London - and not because of oil men in the WH - in South Africa gas prices hit R10 per litre this week ($1=7.7 Rand) - and not because of oil men in the WH........ unfortunately this is a global problem, not an American problem! Sad to think that the gas prices will never go back to what we once thought of as "normal".... now or days, if it drops below $3.75 it's a bargain Who would have ever dreamed it would get to this point and impact every aspect of our lives to the point it has?!?!

Congratulations!! My birthday is the 27th, my mom's birthday was the 11th as is the date of David and my anniversary... either one of those days will be acceptable to us... LOL.....I'll see what I can do

Good Morning All Hope everyone had a great holiday......I've missed a couple of days on the board as DH and I put in his garden and revamped our front hillside.....am I ever glad that's done with!..I'm still feeling the aches and pains I loved the photo of the aft staterooms Joey....they are spectacular and HUGE!!!! Such fond memories I have of the Consellation and DH and I are sooooo excited to be sailing her again..... Have a great day everybody! PS...just found out we're going to be grandparents again in December! PPS....Joey....thanks for all of your hard work! It is truly appreciated! Congratulations on the news of your new grandbaby.
