what kind of quest? To take Mickey with you on a AcapulcoGold excursion??? I guess it boils down to my basic selfishness. I have no desire to cruise with my kids. It's my time away! I do plenty for them all the rest of the time. So I guess the Disney thing reminds me too much of kids. I'm with Vicky - NO DISNEY cruises for us!! Crusing - In my opionion is for adults!! L

We will be going on our first cruise - to Alaska - in September 2008. Here's the question ~ should I book our shore excursions using the Carnival web site or should I venture out on my own & book them with the companies or use a company like "shore trips'?? We will be on the cruise by ouselves, not like the Loco In Acapulco Cruise where we will be with a group of cruisers who have done this before; & we can look out for each other. My concern is - or course, missing the boat!! We are very independant - tend to pay attention to the time, etc. What I have heard is that if you go through the cruise line - you pay a lot more!! Is this true?? Plus - if we go on our own, it may be a smaller group - better chance of seeing critters!! I have plenty of time to research & plan ahead - either way we plan on doing the helicopter - glacier trek in Juneau; float plane to see the bears in Ketchikan & the Yukon White Pass Railrod trip in Skagway. Any help - as always is very appreciated. Thanks!! L

You're so funny! I like you Linda! We use room service for the coffee. Fill out your little card the night before. Coffee, juice, pastries. Hang it on your door and voila! They show up right on time with it! We used it as an alarm clock! Worked great! Much nicer to be woke up to a tray of goodies than a buzzer! You do know that room service is included with your cruise fare? No added charge other than a tip. YOU'RE KIDDING ME!!<] This is the kind of info I need to know!! L

Since no cruise lines will be doing just Hawaii cruises in 2010 ie) fly to Hawaii - cruise - then fly home (this is what I have heard) ~ What are our choices?? Some one MUST do JUST Hawaii. We may have to leave our comfort zone of Carnival though. Since I've never cruised ~ basically I have no clue - I just am leary of that 5 "fun" days at sea!! L

Hey Smoo ~ Have ya noticed that I'm a MORNING person?? I get up at 3:30 AM - & I'm at work by 5:30 AM (I get to leave at 2:30 PM) If we ever have "evening" events - we take naps - seriously!! I won't go knocking on cabin doors ~ but I may catch ya trying to get a cup of coffee with no make -up on!! L
