We love both Cozumel and the Cayman Islands. The last time we were in Cozumel, we rented a diving boat (we snorkeled) locally. They outfitted us with divers, snorkelers, a man who drove the boat and another man who dove with the divers. The driver of the boat then took us out to amazing places. We all had a blast and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. The time before that, we rented Jeeps and drove around the island, stopping wherever we wanted to. Cozumel is very safe and very easy to navigate.
We usually snorkel in the Caymans and tend to find our own places. We don't take excursions but create our own. The last time we were in the Caymans, we took the city bus and rode on it and got a great tour of the island. We then stopped at 7-mile beach, did our own thing. Grabbed the bus and took it back to the pier.
We've been to Jamaica and didn't care for it at any of the times we stopped there.

every time i plan a vacation I want to know as much as possible in advance !
excursions are expensive and i don't want to waste my time and money on something lame.
i would very much appreciate information regarding excursions to Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Cozumel.
I think we will dive while in the Caymans, but i'm not sure what to do in Jamaica and Cozumel. I've been to the ruins enough times .. what else is there?
p.s. I may have a couple of 18 year olds in tow.
