  1. Great for Norfolk, they will still have them. I'm not sure what happen to Royal Caribean out of Galveston. Did I miss something?
  2. Our family is a group of 8 to 10 people. But we would love to be a part of a bigger group. Esp. if it would save us money. It would be alot of fun too.
  3. Thanks, I was wondering since the Royal is not in Galveston, what it is like of the conquest. We will be going in August. Thanks, you made me feel better about it.
  4. :undecided: Are there any advantages to booking a cruise ahead. I have my son's wedding coming up, but next year we all want to go on a cruise together. Right now I don't have the cash to pay now and then in 90 days. What are my options?
  5. :D B) :) Thanks again, you guys. I'm back, and believe me I had more to worry about than an inside cabin. We went thru 10+ waves in a storm. However, manged to survive an small inside cabin with 3 healthy ladies in it. The main suggestion I would give is don't bring too much luggage!! Next don't get a cabin way up front. With all that, I had a wonderful time.

  8. :D :) Thanks, you guys!!! I really didn't think you cared. Thanks We had a wonderful and very interesting time. The kids that I took really had a great time. Only one of the five had ever sailed before. For the first two days they tried to do everything. We had rough seas, but they took it in stride, and noone got sick. They became very popular on board and all ended up in the video. I even won a contest. This was my third cruise, but believe me it was as if I had never cruised, so many things happened that had never happened before. Thanks for the information on the interior cabins, it really helped me to prepare and prepare them. If you want to know anything just ask. Thanks you guys!

  11. :D :D :D We always bring back something with the ships logo: Shirts, towels, hats. But when in port, we find places like "Hard Rock Cafe" Senor Frogs ,etc and get their T-shirts for our collections.(and I don't even drink). Also, something that is unique to that port.

  13. :) Any ship you choose you will have a great time. I like Royal Caribbean"The Rhapsody of the Seas, because it's just the right amount of sophistication. It seems to satisfy young and old alike. It also has good discounts without being bargain basement. I like the standard they try to preserve. This is not a small ship, nor is it one the the larger new ones, its somewhere right in the middle. I haven't been on many, but I liked this one well enough to re-book. Hope you find the one that meets your taste and have a wonderful time.. Good Luck.

  15. :D Welcome Back MissP! Waiting to hear all about it.
  16. One thing I found out is that, if you get away from the pier area and go into the interior of most any of the islands, you will get a treat. My first was Vera Cruz, Mexico---lush green tree covered mountains, natural beauty waterfalls and untouched landscape along the way. We did the same in Cozumel, we rented a car and hit the road and explored off sites, that proved more interesting than the crowded known areas. But, I guess for all around beauty I would say Grand Cayman--(and we saw it in rainy weather). B)
  17. :D :D Pretty soon. Dec 14th on the Rhapsody of the Sea!!!!!! This will be my daughter's first cruise. Looking forward to it.
  18. :D One of my favorite ports of call is Vera Cruz. We went into the interior and it's just (simple) beautiful. I saw donkeys running in the wild. Then there were lush mountains with a beautiful waterfall. And last but not least, there was the White Riverwater rafting thru Mango groves. That was one of my favorite times.
  19. :) Welcome, Alice I was new not so long ago. But you are right this is a great board, with very helpful people. I know you with enjoy the Enchantment.
  20. Thanks you guys, those were all wonderful suggestion and advice. Especially the TV Cam. Thanks SAILINGLISA! I will make the best of it and really enjoy myself.
  21. ;) Well, right after the last one. There are some nice incentives from the cruiseline when you do. But, if that fails. I always get several quotes from different time periods and compare. You know when peak season is, so right after/before peak season is a good time. You take it and then you wait for a upgrade if you like. That's the way I call it.
