Good Morning kids! Off for the weekend. I rescinded my request for transfer yesterday. The Postmaster moved the manager I didn't like out and put in the one I do like, plus made some other changes I asked for so now I can still drive only 3 miles to work. I actually very glad because this is probably the best Postmaster I've ever worked for. Got to get moving. Have an appointment to get my nails done. Joe and I both have the day off so hopefully can get the last of the Christmas shopping done. Talk to you later. Sha

Janet, Joe and I have had more than our share of snow and ice. I don't miss it at all! It's actually been chilly here this week and it's been great for sleeping. No hot flashes or night sweat!! :shocked:

Hi Kids! Another trying day. Had to put a girl out on emergency suspension for violence in the workplace. Yeah, I love my job. They did finally move my desk to the workroom floor (well, they had the phone line put in finally and Carol and I moved my computer to the workroom floor). I only had to wait 6 months! I still am having a problem changing fonts and colors. Guess I really am blonde deep down under the gray! Joe, dinner's in the oven. (Of course I didn't make dinner...Joe had it ready for me to put in the oven. I can turn on an oven on and put a cassarole dish in!) :rolleyes: Time for a cocktail! Sha

I went back to try and read the posts from the day....first thing I saw is Termmie's post about Digger calling him at 4:00am with a cold one and burst out laughing!!! Good morning kids! Up early this morning getting all my paperwork ready. I've decided to take the lateral transfer to Delray Beach so I can have a work environment that is more to my liking. Plus, they're at the bottom of the ranking sheet so all we can go is up! I did make sure I could have the time off for my cruises first of course! Off to the shower. Talk to you later. Sha

Bonnie...no apology necessary! I appreciate the sentiment. My daughter's card came today and I had to laugh. She now works at my old post office and had cards sent around 2 of the office for everyone to sign for me. SO sweet! PLus she sent me a gift certificate for a massage...oh yeah baby!!!

Jason...thanks for helping with the countdown clocks. I had 3 different codes for mine and none worked!!

As a matter of fact I did get a wonderful card from my dear friend Bonnie!! Thanks sunshine! Can't wait to meet your hubby. We'll make sure he has a ball on his first cruise!!

Hi Kids! Well, you've just been typing away haven't you?? Thank you to everyone for the wonderful warm welcomes we've received!! You're making us feel very much at home. Janet I would love to do the Enchantment but Joe's right, 2 weeks later we've got the Transatlantic and the bar tab on that one is gonna be steep. Now, if we win the lottery before then, it's another story. Besides, I think I'm going to take this lateral transfer and get out of this office I'm in now. I've worked with the Postmaster and station manager before and they have pretty much offered me anything I want to come, so how can I resist. I already got both cruises approved too. First things first you know! Okay, I'm going to try and fix my countdown clocks. Where's the bartender!? I wanted a Cosmo! Sha
