  1. Hi Everyone! Again, just catching up. Diane, your organization is amazing! I always thought I was organized, but you put me to shame! Your idea of putting together a spread sheet with all of your notes, times, etc. is great. I may have to try something similar. As far as the current discussion topic. I always wear jeans and a T-shirt and bring a fleece to layer if necessary. Actually, this will more than likely be my "uniform" for the entire trip. I can mix and match easily and I've found that layering is the best way to go.
  2. Hello Everyone-- I have a had very busy work schedule this week-- so I'm just catching up. Joey-- I love the button design. I think it's a great idea-- not only as an identifier, but as a souvenir.
  3. Joey, If I find out anything I will definitely post, but I've had no luck yet!
  4. Hi Everybody! Has anyone seen copies of the menus from Millennium Europe cruises? I posted over at x and so far have not gotten any replies.
  5. I loved so many parts of Alaska. I guess one of my favorites was visiting the Hubbard Glacier and watching it calve!! The sound was incredible!
  6. Count me in on the water taxi, too!! There is no way I want to drag my luggage around Venice!! When I was there last year, I saw all these people schlepping their luggage around, and with all of the bridges and stairs, I thought they were crazy. If we can get away with ~10-12 Euros pp, that's a deal. How do you guys want to make arrangements? Diane-- Thank you so much for confirming the Nov.1st holiday with Claudio. I was getting very worried!! I am so relieved that we will be able to tour everything as planned. Tonia-- I know exactly how you feel about the working nights and the sleep thing. I worked 9pm to 7am last weekend, and thankfully, it was only 2 nights, but my body gets so screwed up. Fortunately, I can get back on schedule pretty quickly, though. It actually has helped me to learn to deal with jet lag, too!
  7. Yay!! I think the gang is all here now. Glad to see you!
  8. Tonia-- Yes, that would work out great if the six of us could share a taxi. I was in Venice with a group tour last year and I'm not sure if the boats we used were water taxis or not. Everything was coordinated by our tour director. If what we used were indeed water taxis--- they definitely would accomodate 6 people and their luggage!! Thanks to Joey and you for finding out the story on the tenders and shuttles. I find it very hard to believe that they would charge for tenders--but I guess you never know. Hopefully with private guides, the shuttle will not be necessary-- Diane do you know?? Hopefully Jackie will find out something from Claudio. As far as weather, when I was in Europe at the end of October last year, the weather was all over the map!! It was very cold in Vienna, but bright and sunny; Venice was damp and rainy, but not really cold; France (Paris and Savigny Les Beaume) was beautiful-- 60's, dry and sunny. I think you kind of have to plan for all and I found dressing in layers was the best bet! Thanks again for the wealth of info-- you guys are the best!!
  9. Joey, Thanks again for the welcome. And also thank you for the research you did regarding our hotel. I'm glad to hear that we are nearby. We are going to be like one happy family! No, we are not coming in on the train. We actually have a flight on Air Iberia from Madrid. It was so cheap, it was ridiculous-- we'd have been fools not to fly. It worked out to about $45 US pp! Post cruise, most of you guys are staying at Locando Orseolo, too, correct? Maybe we can share water taxis?? As I understand, they are expensive, but the best way to get to the hotel, especially with luggage! I have also heard it may be possible to store luggage at the terminal. Does anyone else know anything about this?? It may be easier than dragging unneeded luggage thru Venice :undecided:
  10. Hi Everyone!! I made it over here! I did not know this site even existed until you all started talking about it. Thanks for pointing it out to me.
  11. Thanks for the warm welcome!! I am glad to be back in touch with you guys. Without you, I don't think any of us would have found each other!
