  1. Any time is good for us. Just let us know when and where, we'll show up.
  2. Joey- sounds like a brilliant plan. We'll be there. Still 8ish?
  3. I noticed that Celebrity has tuxedo rental available. Has anyone tried this? If my husband rented a tux for the whole cruise, it would save a lot of space. Let me know what you think.
  4. Finally booked our Barcelona hotel. We will be @ the Barcelona Princess 10/26
  5. Has any one stayed at the Continental Palacete? I still can't decide where to stay in Barcelona. The most important thing is a comfortable bed.
  6. Over the next two weeks on the Travel Channel there are shows about many of our ports of call. World Oddessey, Passport to Europe and Globetrekker will cover Athens, the south of France, Santorini and Rome. There is a special on the aquarium in Barcelona. Samantha Brown's First Cruise is a 12 day med. voyage. I don't know what ship she was sailing.
  7. I TiVoed it and just finished watching. Looks like a nice ship. I think they are doing some TAs 2007. I'll have to put them on the list of possibles.
  8. I like to be able to keep in touch with my children while aboard ship. Calling home every night to check on them can get expensive using the ship to shore service.
  9. The Navigator: the spa, fitness center, coffee shop, and Irish pub
  10. Joey, We have a similar problem. We want to do a TA next year, but can't decide route or line. Thanks for posting the question.
  11. We sleep in, go to the gym, hang out in the sauna/steam/hot tub, get a massage, coffee in the cafe, trivia, casino, lounge on the deck. One at sea day we always go to the champagne lounge for champagne and caviar, it's a vacation tradition even with land vacations.
  12. Do you think we will have a problem getting off the ship @ 0400 11/10? Our plane leaves @ 0645 from VCE and we are planning on getting the 0500 bus from P.le Roma.
  13. If you have one of those food sealing systems you could seal your bottles in a bag without risk of leakage. I may "seal n save" everything. It would make it easier for the FTA to rifle through my belongings.
  14. Jackie- Thanks for the info. We are on the Panorama deck so we should be okay noise wise. I am a major sleeper and get cranky when awakened too early. I'm very happy to hear about the blackout drapes.
  15. I received my air tickets in the mail today. Actual paper tickets. I haven't seen those in a very long time. I guess that doesn't count as "documents" eh? Now if I could just pick a hotel in Barcelona :undecided:
  16. Thanks for the input guys. I'm all about lux bedding. I guess it is twangs of maternal guilt, two kids in college and I'm laying out extra dinero for posh digs..... I'm sure I'll get over it. Jackie- How can you tell if you will be a victim of lifeboat wenching from the schematic on the web site? How high up are the lifeboats stored?
  17. I am trying to decide if I will give up my CC cabin for an inside cabin on the same deck. Is it really worth the price difference? I like the near total darkness of an inside cabin and am not sure the sunlight coming in through the balcony doors will be a good thing. What other real benefit do you get from the CC cabin? I need to decide by the end of the day... help me out please.
  18. Joey- Florence: The Uffizzi Gallery, the duomo, the baptistry doors. Rome: The forum and Colliseum. The Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Stanza in the Vatican museum as well as awesome statues of Roman's. It's cool to see the Csaesars in person. The Borghese gallery has Bernini statues that will make you forget Michelangelo's David. Naples: Pompeii !!! The view of Mt. Vesuvius from a hillside olive grove in Sorrento. The antiquities museum. Athens: Plaka. the acropolis, the antiquities museum. Venice: Santa Maria Gloriosa del Frari- Titian's The Assumption of the Virgin. Accademia- cool icons and several huge Titians. After you see the essentials.. lose the map and wander around the pathways. You will have a wonderful time being lost in Venice.
  19. Joey- Yes, that is the one I mean. Have you stayed there?
  20. Has anyone in the roll call stayed at the Palacetta on a prior occasion? I read it is a 3 star with just 19 rooms. Sounds like it would be full of crazies.
  21. Zebra- What hotels have you tried in Barcelona? We are considering Eurostar Gaudi, Eurostar Gran Marina, and Le Meridian but are open to suggestions. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
  22. yahoo!<] We finally have air transport!!! We will be arriving in Barcelona on the 26th. As for hotel, it is a toss up between Le Meridian, the Grand Marina, or the Holiday Inn Express. Joey- when we decide, I'll let you know so that you can fill in the blank on the list.
  23. Is anyone considering sailing the voyager of the seas from barcelona to FLL Nov. 14th? It's an 11 day transatlantic. Inside cabins are 599.00, cheaper than airfare.
  24. Gail R- Sorry about the bum website it's http://www.piccellwireless.com.
