We Book our own and have for 8 years now we go directly through the Cruise line with a PPV! We also do our Hotel direct as well never had a problem and what sites Ive checked weve gotten better deals! We have a Extended balcony on the Conquest and paid $749.00 PP and then we got two price reductions of $40.00 for our Cabin, and that was a savings of $80.00 but we had to keep checking they wont tell you thats maybe a drawback instead of using a TA! But I have time to stay on top of my Reservation, its just personal preferences! I would suggest using a TA if your a first time cruiser though And it depends on what season and month you go as well

Me and Annie have cruised carnival twice, but have been away for 4 years as well, we were cruising RCCL on The Rhapsody but they quit going to the Western Caribbean for Sept, Oct and November! So we are Going on the Conquest for the first time its quite a larger ship than we like but I guess itll be a experience exploring her! This is good to hear about the improvements on the Food when we cruised on the Celebration and the Elation the food was terrible thats why we went to the Rhapsody! Thanks Sailinglisa, can you tell me anything about the Conquest?!
