  1. We did the Crown in November 2007 and going back in September 2011 for Canada & New England. We loved her the first time. I don't know the other ones.
  2. Thanks for all the info. I hope we will be able to make it from the ship. We are coming in at Fort Lauderdale airport and Celebrity will transfer us to the ship. At least I know that we can take a taxi to go. Only 6 weeks left.
  3. Here is the address 1906 Cordova Road, behind the Embassy Suites
  4. We are coming in on a Monday. One problem solved. Do you have a specific address? Can it be done on foot?
  5. Thanks Gregswife. That was as far as I got also. I doubt very much that you can buy there.
  6. We are taking a cruise on the Equinox on January 25th, 2010. Is it possible to buy wine at the airport of Fort Lauderdale?
  7. Thanks for all the good wishes. We came back Saturday morning at 4:00 am (plane with brake problems in Calgary, we waited for a change of equipment). We had a GREAT cruise. The itinerary was to die for (Nanaimo, Victoria, Seattle, Astorai, San Francisco (2 days), Monterey, Catalina Island). Enjoyed every port even if the weather was not terrific. We needed a fleece and a rain coat in about half of them. We got soaked in San Francisco but that was our favorite port (so many things to see and so little time even if it was 2 days). The Mercury has been refreshed in April 2008 and she is still very nice looking. The food was delicious.
  8. We will try it out on January on the Equinox. My reservations are already done on Celebrity's site.
  9. My dream came through we will be on the Equinox at sailing on January 25th 2010.
  10. Amazing ship. If me dream comes through, I will see the Equinox in January.
  11. We are going on a Wine Cruise in October on the Mercury and we will be in San Francisco from October 18th at 7:00 am until October 19th at 7:00 pm (36 hours). One of the things, we want to do on the 19th is leave the ship and go to the Golden Gate Bridge. Can anyone recommend us any line of bus and how long it would take us to get there?
  12. Our first port of call on first cruise was Martinique (January 7th, 1989) on the Azur (Celebrity). Hey that was more than 20 years ago. Time flies when you are having fun. We took an excursion in a Mercedes. WOW (for the island) and WOW (for the car)
  13. Less than 6 weeks for our Wine Cruise in October on the Mercury. Looking forward to seeing many of the US Cities on the Pacific side (Seattle, Astoria, San Francisco - 2 days - Monterey, Catalina Island. That will be quite a cruise.
  14. Thanks. Enjoying every minute of it.

  15. Thanks Joey. That will help me a bit as I am Select
  16. On Monday, we received a visit from the "Upgrade Fairy". I have no idea idea, how we were chosen, but we are so thrilled. We had booked a Category I cabin (oceanview) on Deck 2 and we were bumped to a cabin on Deck 7 with balcony.
  17. Could not resist the bargain, so we booked last night. Itinerary is nice: departs from Santo Domingo, at sea, Antigua, St.Kitts, Barbados, St.Lucia, at sea. This is my first time at not booking Air with a cruise company. The only thing left to do is to check about our passports which are expiring in May. I hope we will not have to renew them right away.
  18. Thanks Joey. That will help in finding out which ship will replace Summit in Europe in 2010.
  19. I wish I could read it. It will not me visit that site as I am a canadian.
  20. what we use is the bathroom scales and pack to 47 pounds... so far that has worked well I bought a fish scale , (very easy to store in the checked luggage in case it is needed) as we were having so much trouble at the airports down south. The trick for the people behind the counter at the airport was to tell us that our bags were too heavy and that it would cost us $20cdn per kilograms (I wonder if the airport ever saw that money). We were entitled to 20 kgs (44 pounds) per person and up to 2 bags per person. So now we manage with lower than 30 kgs for the 2 of us (66 pounds).
  21. I prefer knowing before we leave. We will build it in the expenses. Maybe it will change again before we leave LOL.
  22. Am I reading right in the american airlines sites? We now are paying for the registered bagages: $15 for the first one and $25 for the second one, and we are entitled to 50lbs each.
