  7. Carnival Cruise Lines opened bookings today for Carnival Splendor’s inaugural 2008 season in Northern Europe and its week-long Eastern Caribbean voyages from Fort Lauderdale Florida. The 113,300gt vessel will kick off with 12-day Northern Europe cruises operating roundtrip from Dover July 13 to Aug. 30, 2008. Ports include Copenhagen, Warnemünde, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn and Amsterdam. The ship will also operate a one-time 12-day Western Mediterranean cruise departing Dover Sept. 11 next year, calling at Le Havre, Vigo, Lisbon, Malaga, Barcelona, Cannes and Livorno. Following these voyages are a ‘Grand Mediterranean’ itinerary and two Med/Greek Isles sailings. After a 16-day crossing to Fort Lauderdale, the ship begins weekly cruises to Casa de Campo, St. Thomas, San Juan and Nassau. Representing a new class of vessel for the line, the 3,006-passenger SuperLiner will offer a host of innovative facilities, including a luxurious 21,000-square-foot health and fitness center that will feature Carnival's first thalassotherapy pool and elaborate thermal suite. Surrounding the facility will be 68 spacious spa staterooms and suites - another first for the line. Other highlights include a 5,500-square-foot children's play area -- the largest in the Carnival fleet -- along with expanded sports and recreation facilities, including a mid-ship pool covered by a retractable dome. "Today's consumers are seeking high quality, affordable vacation experiences that provide them with a lifetime of memories," said Bob Dickinson, Carnival president and CEO. "With its numerous on-board innovations as well as a diverse array of itineraries that includes our first Northern Europe cruise program, we expect unprecedented demand for Carnival Splendor's 2008 cruise season," he added. Carnival Splendor's inaugural season will kick off with a series of 12-day Northern Europe cruises operating round-trip from London (Dover) July 13 - Aug. 30, 2008. Ports of call include Copenhagen; Warnemunde (Germany); Helsinki; St. Petersburg; Tallin (Estonia); and Amsterdam. The ship will also operate on a special one-time 12-day western Mediterranean cruise departing London (Dover) Sept. 11, 2008, calling at Le Havre (Paris), France; Vigo, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Malaga and Barcelona, Spain; Cannes, France; and Livorno, Italy. Following these voyages, Carnival Splendor will operate a "Grand Mediterranean" cruise Sept. 23, 2008 and two "Mediterranean & Greek Isles" voyages round-trip from Rome (Civitavecchia) Oct. 5 and 17, 2008. Carnival Splendor will then sail on a 16-day trans-Atlantic crossing from Rome (Civitavecchia) to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Oct. 29 - Nov. 14, 2008, which will position the vessel for a series of 10 seven-day, four-port "exotic" eastern Caribbean voyages beginning Nov. 22, 2008. Featured ports include Casa de Campo/La Romana (Dominican Republic); St. Thomas/St. John; San Juan; and Nassau. Carnival is currently accepting reservations on all of the Carnival Splendor's various 2008 European and Caribbean departures. For additional information and reservations, contact any travel agent, call 1-800-CARNIVAL or visit carnival.com.
  8. Hey Chuck I think this thread describes you....lol
  9. This is a great thread, I do bring wine onboard with me and have never been charged a corkage fee.... In our province we can bring wine into a restaurant for a corkage fee of $ 5.00 ~ $10.00 Personally I dont find the prices of Carnival's drinks all that expensive, Our provincial tax is 14% on everything we buy but groceries.... A case of beer here is nearly $ 40.00 the avergae per bottle of beer in a bar is $ 3.50 ~ $4.00 plus taxes, so it seems to average the same as Carnival.

  13. Bonnie when are you looking to cruise ?
  14. In Roatan there are a few beaches, we went to West End beach after doing an island tour... Great beach, fairly clean with a few restaurants and shops across the street ( dirt road ) In Belize there is Cave Tubing and Goff's Cay... Both I would recommend using Carnival excursions for.... The Valor also does Grand Cayman where I would suggest swimming with the sting rays... and Cozumel is another port that the Valor sails to.....
  15. Hi Bonnie Bell..... I can only comment on carnival, My daughter nearly 10 loves thier kids program...... Lots for them to do.... I personally cant comment on Royal, as I have never sailed them....I have sailed Disneyy 3 times and My DD prefers Carnival over Disney ( and we are disney freaks ...lol ) If you are looking for prts that are not that commercialized I would recommend Carnival Valor and it does the western Caribbean and has Belize and Roatan, Honduras as two of the ports of call...... Not commercialized yet...... If you ahve any more questions go ahead and ask....
  16. only hug the people wearing the Loco In Acapulco shirts..... lol Or unless the guy is Hawt, then hug him and dont let him go.......lol
