I booked our suite this morning. Since we're going to be there 3 nights - Wayne & I want to go see the Blue Man Group - I'd have bought the tickets NOW - but they only schedule them out 3 months!!! So, I gotta wait. I also think I'll get a tattoo on my ankle!! What duh ya think!! Linda

Wow Cheryl!!! I can't believe you beat me to the reservation!!! BUT ~ I'll bet you haven't sent out your Christmas list yet to the family ~ I have!! Cheryl ~ You can register your AMEX card on line: https://www.americanexpress.com/home & check for charges there. - they show up within 24 hours. We too only use 1 card the AmEx (we have an ATM/Debit thing too but not for travel or large purchases) we love the on-line access - You can go back months/years etc. to check stuff. For me - I am putting our shore excursions, spa stuff etc. for Aruba on it now. Then I print out that page of the bill & file it with the e-mail or voucher I get from the provider. We have only had 1 problem when traveling - when a Dive Store in Cabo San Lucas charged us twice for a dive trip. $ 89.00 X 2. I called Amex - they put the charges on hold for 30 days - waited for the dive place to reply - when they didn't we weren't charged. I LOVE that card!! I think I'll go ahead & reserve our 1 bedroom suite then too - if things change we can always cancel & go with the group!! When does Lisa come back from her "holiday" eh?? (I can say that as my Mom is a Canadian citizen - from Swan Lake, Manitoba!!) Linda PS - Wayne has the songs that we have requested so far - downloaded & ready to go. Well, if we stay at the Desert Rose Resort - they have DAILY maid service!! Hey Chuck - you don't have to cook - you could have blender detail!! We could make it really easy: Meat - Salad - Desert (Wayne makes this killer pound cake, pudding whip cream that is so yummy!!) Chips & salsa - hang out at pool all day listening to Loco & Margaritaville!! OH & Caribbean Queen (even though we're going to Mexico - I LOVE that song!!) Linda

PLUS ~ Wayne said he could bring the i-pod with our Loco song so we could play if out by the pool!! We have speakers for it & everything!! Won't we make lots of friends!! Linda

I'm here!! Been busy at work!! We're easy too - we'd just like to sit around & visit - if we go with the suites - then we could do a potluck - BBQ - we'll have full kitchens (& blenders for those who imbibe!!) Wayne could make his famous dessert!! Just let us know. . . .I too am getting way excited!! Linda

Hi Skipper - Is it warm enough in April to swim?? We always go to Vegas in Feb. less crowds - no heat - the only down side is the pools at the resorts are usually closed. Many thanks!! Linda

Try to keep up!! Wayne too has this problem with dates & places. I just tell him - get in the car!! Then on the way to the airport I tell him where we're going. Cheryl - did you select the Desert Rose as your resort of choice? It works for me - even gives me 3 different rate. too bad I don't have a govt. job!! I found a "resort" in Vegas called the Desert Rose - google it. They are suites - 1 & 2 bedrooms. It does NOT have a casino - but it is across the street from the MGM (behind Hooters ) Anyway - for 3 nights - I can get a 1 bedroom suite - with complete kitchen for $ 457.00 (about $ 153.00 per night) If Lisa & Vicky want to share a 2 bedroom - they'd get it for even less. It has a pool, hot tub & a BBQ (i think) They have a continental breakfast too! Check it out & see what you think. Just a thought. . . . . Linda

Of course you can steal my Vegas ticker. I'm kinda hoping Smoo will make us something with a casino type look!! (wink . .wink . .say no more!!) It has been a SUNNY - 68 here at the coast!! The fog is now rolling in so it will be nice & cool tonight. Perfect sleeping weather!! In researching our air further - I found Virgin has $ 44.00 one way to Vegas from SFO!! Of course I can't book it until we get closer (why can't folks just work WITH me - if I want to book something & it is say 2 years away why can't they just say O.K. . . .but I digress . . .b*tching about other travel plans) - that is a STEAL!! WOW - if I can save that much money we might even spring for a massage while there!! Linda

Good Morning Donna: We're looking at April 25th - April 28th. Friday - Monday. So far we have a BBQ/potluck TENTATIVELY planned for Saturday evening. We may fly out on Saturday morning early - depending on hotel rates. Linda

Same goes here from NoVA. For the price of airfare alone we could go on a 5 night cruise. I will keep an eye on airfares and hope to join you all. I know you all will have a great time You are will be so missed!! BUT - so we can still get to know you - Do a video of you guys & send it to one of the TA's!! Kind a like when a movie star can't be there to accept the Oscar. You guys could say HI to us, etc. Like a U-Tube thing!! We could play it at the BBQ/potluck!! Then we'll know you when we all meet in San Diego!! Linda

It would be 9 hours if we drove . . .and about an hour if we fly . . . . .uh . . .I think we'll fly!! Smoo - any other plans for hooking up as a group? I like the idea of a BBQ or dinner on Saturday. What could we do on Sunday?? If you guys get a house - maybe just hang out on Sunday at the pool - if we stay at hotels, could we all meet at their pools? Do they let groups do that??
