We will be visiting Niagara in less than 2 weeks!!!

Sounds like a good idea, I'll have to check it out and see if it will fit into our plan (and budget). We live a little over an hour away from Port of Galveston, so it's easier to travel from there. The cruise next year will have us departing from a different port (a whole different country no less), so we will see how it goes...

I really want to book another cruise and be "stacked" too!!! My DH only wants to go on one a year, so the next one needs to be planned for 2009, but that's so far away! Not only that there are so many different options and so many cruise lines, it's hard to make a decision! Oh the agony!!

Thanks for the info, I have been doing some research but can't find too much about it. I think we will stick with an excursion through Carnival (Catalina Island) and maybe spend the next day on the ship, since we will have no"sea days". Anyway, we will have fun...

We will be in this port for 26 hours and cannot find too much information about it.... Has anyone ever been here? It is a new itinerary for Carnival next year, and from what I have read elsewhere, some people aren't too happy about it..

Haven't been to any of them yet, but I am opting for Megan's Bay (recommended in 1,000 places to see before you die book). I have made it a point to see as many of these places as I can, so Megan's Bay, here we come!

Didn't get to do the Rum tour, but did do the shopping. We went off on our own and booked through a website I found and had a wonderful time. Our guide took us to Margaritaville and took us to a store he felt would give us the best prices and not haggle us too much.

I always get the emails too, but when husband says "book it", I do not wait for the emails to come, I just do it and hope my PVP will get what's best. And yes, I agree, sometimes it does hurt to try

I just received an email for free upgrades on Carnival's one day sale. I just booked 2 weeks ago for a cruise on Carnival Destiny for spring break of next year. I got a military discount for 2 families. Our cabin is an aft balcony (free upgrade) and our friends is a regular balcony (there was only 1 aft available). My question is with the sale going on tomorrow is there any way possible that we would get upgraded more? I have read a lot about how TA's work for you and inform you of upgrades, will PVP's do the same for you, or do you have to call them?
