We will be sailing on RCI's Explorer of the Seas and going to Labadee, Haiti in two weeks. I had mixed feelings, however now I am totally ok abuot going. It is our way of helping. They get $6 for every person who gets off the ship there....no wonder they did not want the cruise lines to stay away!! This would have been ALOT of missing monies for them!! Plus the excursions, zip line, coaster, etc...would not have any paying customers...so it's a win-win to me... Lynn

I sailed on Carnival Miracle a oouple of years ago and although it was fun, it did not come across as a major "party ship". We did incur a lot of kids (went in June), but this was only noted at certain times of the day. Guess it just depends....Lynn

My husband and I sailed on Carnival and it was lots of fun...but then again we did the casino and bars (to some extent). They do have lots of activities, however this time we are taking children...ages 21, 20, 17, and 16. We opted for RCI Explorer of the Seas because it seems to have even MORE stuff!! THis is our first time cruising with RCI, so we will see.... Lynn

Hi there, I sailed on the Miracle out of NY for 8-day Eastern Caribbean a couple of years back. We had a balcony room. It was roomy enough and I enjoyed the balcony alot! The ship is nice and we enjoyed everything. I did not see any blantant disciminatory behaviors from others, but then I do not feed into that anyway. Everyone was friendly! Hope u have a great time! I am sailing for first time on RCI out of Bayonne in two weeks...royal family suite...woohoo!!

Thanks for your response! BTW we are neighbors....I live in Stroudsburg!! This will be my first time going out of Bayonne NJ. The last cruise we went out of New York. Any advice or suggestions?

Can anyone tell me if there is a Sushi bar or Sushi available on the Explorer of the Seas? Thanks, Lynn...:)

Description<] :: Eastern Caribbean Went with another couple that has cruised before. This was the first cruise for my husband and me. We thought everything was wonderful. We had a balcony room and used it everyday and especially when coming into ports of call. The only downfall is that it seemed like there was ALOT of kids on the ship. This would not have been an issue, however they were ramming around on the elevators and spilling stuff in the elevators with no parents in sight or care for the ship. I am a parent, and I felt the need to say something to security. They basically said that "we can't be everywhere on the ship, so pick up a phone and call if u see this again". Just had the air about them, that they really did not want to be bothered. This didn't ruin the cruise at all....but everyone wants to know if there were any negatives and this is the only thing I can find!!! So I guess that is a good thing, lol. We were not home 24 hours and I was online looking for our next cruise....I am officially hooked!!.....Lynn View Review
