  1. We helped add four to that number in 2011. I'd like to go back to St Kitts.
  2. I had not heard about this. It's a good thing the Phillipine Navy was so responsive with patrol boats, as I have heard of pirates in the Sulu Sea.
  3. Thanks. Here's where I'll be: and..... On the Island of Provendenciales.
  4. I'm most intrigued by the SONAR idea.
  5. Jackie, I think you and Tony are going to have so much fun on this. Ever since you first told us about your itinerary, I've been looking forward to it for you!
  6. Lot's of events leading up to this anniversary. I have mixed feelings about it. It's good to remember those who were lost, and the lessons learned that improved safety afterward. Not so good to commercialize it so much. I did enjoy the travelling Titanic exhibit that came to Denver a couple years ago - tastefully done in my opinion. Also, Molly Brown's house is a small museum just a couple blocks from my office.
  7. Hmmm. Why would they build a ship called a new class but so close to the Freedom class for size and passenger capacity? Sounds like it was redesigned to cram in about 500 more people.
  8. Glad no-one was hurt. I hope the local vessel was able to continue their work as well.
  9. I'd heard about that. Security must not be all that tight if they were able to pull that one off.
  10. Hmmm....without a port propulsion motor, would they have spent the week going in circles?????
  11. I don't remember any of them, but I hope they check in some time.
  12. Disney provides a good cruise. We'd like to try them again someday.
  13. John, thanks for all the articles you've been posting on cruise topics. Very informative.
  14. The Sunshine ships. I like the sound of that.
  15. It feels like I just read the same article ten times. In any case, and I'm sure the quotes are taken out of context, but the Carnival execs come across in the article as regarding the accident more as an inconvenience to them. I only hope they started the meeting with, perhaps, a moment of silence for those lost on the Concordia; and an update from each of the cruiselines on their recent safety improvements so that best practices could be shared. That's what I would hope, anyway.
  16. I can't blame these sharks. I like tuna too. http://www.aol.com/video/shark-feeding-frenzy-off-coast-of-australia/517300677/?icid=maing-grid7|main5|video-module|sec1_lnk1|142660/&
  17. Sounds like fun. I hope the vacation time works out.
