We have been on 19 Carnival and 2 NCL We have had port hole cabins ,ocean view cabins, balcony cabins and aft wrap around balcony cabins.

My husband and I sailed on the Magic July 22. We had a cove balcony. It was a fabulous ship. The public areas seemed less crowded than the Dream. The price for 7days in a comparable cabin on any ship wouldn't be all that different all things considered.

I am sad about the loss of the Mobile port. We are 3 hours from there. It is a wonderful terminal , comparing favorably with New Orleans.Unfortunately , the location may attract those who are not big spenders. Carnival made some noise about Mobile not being a tourist destination. I think that Gulfport MS. would be a great replacement port. The Conquest sailed from there while the Mississippi was being dredged so that she could sail into New Orleans.There are lots of hotels and casinos there, and 13 miles away in Biloxi.Gulfport Internationl Airport is also nearby.

We recently cruised on the Elation and the Fascination and neither required us to bring our life jackets.Hurray!
