COMPLETE REVIEW

My husband is a quadriplegic and uses a manual wheelchair. This ship was a breeze accessibility wise. The only problem was the carpets in the hallways are very thick which makes pushing a manual chair a challenge. Any wheelchair user that pushes themselves will get quite a workout. Check-in (Miami)for disabled passengers was fast and painless. RCI allowed all of our party to check in at the same time unlike the previous experience we had with Carnival.

We booked a Wheelchair accessible junior suite on the 10th deck and we were very impressed. The cabin was huge and easily accessible the balcony was also oversized and easily accomodated 5 adults. The bathroom in the cabin was wonderful with a large roll in shower. The only downside was a shower/commode chair with large wheels will not fit over the commode since the toilet is so close to the wall.

We ate at Chops the same night as the Captains Dinner and our group had the restaurant basically to our selves. We received excellent service and the food was awesome. Truly worth the $25.00 per person charge. Johnny Rockets was cute but not easily accessible for wheelchairs due to the diner style booths and narrow aisle. Room Service was fast and good. With such a comfortable cabin I ordered most of my lunches from room service and relaxed in the room.

Windjammers was good for breakfast and lunch. Slightly disappointed with the service in the main dining room. Could be because we did not eat every night in the dining room. Slow and not as attentive as anticipated. Food in the main dining room was adequate. The ship is clean and well cared for. It was hard to believe there were 3,000 plus passengers on the ship it never seemed crowded at all.

The only disappointment on the whole trip was not being able to stop at Grand Caymans since they were still recovering from hurricane damage. This just added an additional sea day but with a ship this large and beautiful it was not a problem to find things to keep you occupied on sea days.
