  1. I've been trying to talk my DH into trying that, he says we're not big gamblers so what's the point. But, I agree with you..sit on deck, have a few, and enjoy the ride. I know that at least one of them (I think it's Sterling) offers a free ride to the port from the Melbourne Square Mall, which is about 5 minutes from my house!! Maybe I can talk him into giving it a shot on Nov. 30th! ;)
  2. That's really cute, thanks Smooth Cruiser. My in-laws are sooooooo hard to buy for, the calendar will make a great gift! They are avid cruisers.
  3. Sorry for the triple post....don't know what happened, can't delete them
  4. A blonde was walking by the travel agent and saw a sign that said Cruise for $39. She walked in and plunked her money on the table. The travel agent grabbed her, tied her to a wooden plank and threw her into the river out back. Another blonde walked in a few minutes later, plunked down her money and she too was grabbed, tied to a wooden plank and thrown into the river out back. The current was swift, so she caught up with the first blonde and they both floated together for a while. She asked, "Do they serve drinks on this cruise?" The first blonde said,. . . "They didn't last time."
  5. I sailed on Fantasy last September 2002 (before the refurbish), and had an awesome time. Although, I was very glad to hear that she has had a make-over....it was definetly needed! We got a great deal on a Cat. 12 suite and even though the room was quite thread-worn it didn't stop us from have a wonderful time. We had a great stewart and the room was kept clean. The majority of the staff was very friendly. Food was good. I plan on sailing on her again sometime in the future now that they have updated the ship. The pool was in rough shape..not sure if that was fixed up?
  6. I would have to choose Western Caribbean.
  7. I would say my favorite time is late afternoon sitting by the pool relaxing with a couple of cold Coronas before having to get ready for dinner.
  8. Ever since getting a digital camera I take many more shots. Last seven day cruise I brought along my laptop and would download the pix every night. I would say I took anywhere from 20 to 40 pix a day. I also buy a disposible underwater camera for those days on water excursions.
  9. Thanks cruisingfun, I will definetly look into those!
  10. I like to cruise spring or summer...kids are out of school. Unfortunately that's when the prices are higher, but my son loves to cruise.
  11. We usually do a search through Travelocity or Orbitz and click on "Vacations". Enter your departure and destination, when all the choices come up look for "all-inclusive". Right now we are booked for five days at a three-star resort in Jamaica for about $1,000 per person~that includes airfare, transportation to & from airport, cottage on the beach, all meals (four resturants) all drinks~alcoholic and non (and I might add as much as you want!), non-motorized watersports i.e. sailing, snorkeling, etc., entertainment and lots more. One we went to last June included dry-cleaning & laundry service, manicures, watersking and lots more. And most do not allow tipping. About the only extras would be shopping and if you went off site of the resort.
  12. As much as we love to cruise, we also do all-inclusive resorts quite often. Not that we're alcoholics, but when you add the bar tab to a week long cruise it seems the better deal is just flying to a resort. I was wondering are there any cruises out there which include drinking in the price?
  13. No cruise booked yet :( , but looking forward to a short vacation at an all-inclusive in Jamaica Dec. 19th - 24th!
  14. Bon Voyage!!! :D Don't forget to tell us all about it!!
