  1. Wow Thats cool. I had some friends go on the innaugural Caribbean Princess and this was the highlight of their trip. Incidentally, they said the service on their Caribbean Princess cruise was horrible.
  2. Wow. That O/V tag sure looks good. When do I move up to a balcony???
  3. This is my 100th post. In my 100th post I want to thank Jason, and others for making this board a great place to talk and learn about cruises. Tomorrow I am leaving for a short (4 nights) cruise aboard the M/S Sensation and I will miss posting for a few days. I will definitely miss my new Cruise Crazies friends and can't wait to see all of the new posts when I get back. Dennis
  4. Carnival is really on the right track to cornering the cruise vacation market. Interesting to read about how this company started on borrowed money and a rust bucket. Wow.
  5. Nice Job. Wow. That might be a record! Dennis
  6. Welcome aboard, Monthend. Look forward to seeing your posts. Dennis
  7. Welcome Aboard, Happy. Enjoy the ride. Great place browse and post.
  8. This one is tough, but I will guess....... Cozumel  Dennis
  9. Whichever you should decide to play, always play the max. If you want to spend .25 per pull, do it on a nickel machine rather than putting one quarter in at a time. Maximizes your chances at winning more coins. Good Luck. Dennis
  10. Where oh where did DaCruznut go. Oh where oh where did he go? Oh he went on a cruise and we havent heard yet. Were all now waiting to hear. If he posts the review we'll all read it through. Oh please just write the review. welcome back, DaCruznut. How was the Fascination.... Dennis
  11. That's O.K. Red Stripe is good as well. Dennis
  12. Welcome Home. Looking forward to the review. Dennis
  13. Sebbie, My first cruise was aboard the Ecstasy and I loved it. While I cant comment on the itinerary (she was in Miami) I can say that you should like this ship. Like most of the Fantasy Class ships (my favorite) she is now showing her age. However, they Carnival people do a good job keeping everything spic and span. It always amazes me how they are always working on something during the cruise. Anyway, don't let a few stains on the carpet, or some small detail ruin your 1st time. Enjoy, Dennis
  14. I agree with Dreamer. It would not be very bright to have a fling with a passenger if you are working on a cruise ship. That said, I have heard a few stories about passengers going down to the crew quarters and partying. Also, there are definitely rules about which crew members can "socialize" with the passengers. The lowest on the rung are the food service workers. Not only are they not allowed to be seen with passengers while off duty, but their hours are terribly long. They probably don't want to see any passengers when they are off duty. IMHO. Dennis
  15. I know. I looked at the calendar and wished I was going on all of the cruises. nevertheless, I am officially psyched about my cruise this coming Thursday.
  16. 4 ever, I have been on the Sovereign twice. She is old, but still a lovely ship. The service was pretty good when I was on her. I enjoyed the piano bar, the disco, and the shows. From my recollection her atrium is done in brass, tan and wood and was pretty classy. the type of Atrium that you don't notice so much (unlike Carnival) The cabins are a touch small, but certainly easy to operate in if you organize your items when you board. The one thing that i did not like about the Sovereign was that it seemed difficult to walk around. I was always running into a dead end. No big deal, though. As far as Atlantis, take a taxi from the Pier. Should be $4.00 and I believe it is now a regulated price. Either pay the $25.00 to walk around the dig, or risk being stopped by security. Many (even me, once) do not pay the money for the dig, but I think it is worth it as the Aquarium is very beautiful and not to be missed. As far as the Casino, it is big and beautiful. I do not know if it is "friendly" because I usually don't gamble too much in the Bahamas (Vegas rocks). WHile walking around, there are many shops and beautiful decorations. Atlantis is very large and nice. As far as the rest of Nassau, I can live without it. The straw market is not the same since it burned a few yrs ago, and the shops on the main drag (Bay St. ??) are just average. The one shop that I kind of like is the place where things turn a different color in the sun (Del Sol). Stay away from the mopeds (they are dangerous), but do try to eat some Conch. Its pretty good. Hope this helps. Enjoy the Sovereign. Dennis
  17. This may be silly, but the best picture of my Son was a black and white taken on a cruise ship. We (DW) cherish that photograph. Dennis
  18. I would be the Cruise Director. Because then I would make people laugh, and have a good time. I actually do that now, but being the C/D would almost certainly guarantee that I could carry a tune. That is something I am severely lacking right now. I could make a dog cry.
