  1. I've booked it with a group of 10 for it's Maiden Voyage sailing from Southampton to NYC on November 2, 2014. It's an 8 day crossing.
  2. Heyyyyyyyyyyyy Guys I hope you have a wonderful cruise. Judson and Louise
  3. Heyyyyyyyyyy Guys Just checking in on your trip and seeing what you're up too. It's really getting close now.
  4. Hey CruiseCrazie Caribbean Buddies. Just stopped in to see what U guys are up to. I got some nice news today. Our Mediterranean Cruise on the Voyager of the Seas must not be fully booked because my TA called today and told me that there were some Senior Discounts available for upgrades and for just a very few dollars - I could have a Junior Suite instead of the Superior Balcony Stateroom. That's over 150 feet of extra space so I told her to grab one for us. We've never booked a suite on one of the cruise ships before so this will be a treat for us. We fly to Barcelona in 92 days, 16 hours, 17 minutes, and 10 seconds - LOL!! I'll never forget the two weeks with you guys in the Southern Caribbean. That was our first two week cruise and we enjoyed sharing that time so much with you guys. I think my favorite day was the private boat cruise that we all did while in St. Thomas. That was such a nice day. I'll never forget telling the Captain that he would have to bring his ship dockside as we were not going to climb down into a dingy to ride out to his ship. I think that cruise has to be my number 1 or number 2 favorite. The one in competition for first place would be our cruise to the Caribbean on The Mariner of the Seas when Florida had a hurricane just before our cruise and one while we were on the cruise and we had to spend 3 extra days out because there was no place in Florida where our ship could dock because of the hurricanes. Keep working on the New England Cruise - lookin good.
  5. It's time to start thinking about this Euro purchase thing again. I have to say that for some reason, I really never saw all those ATM machines that I was told about during our Rhine River Cruise this past August. I'm so glad that I had made my purchase before leaving the USA. I fully intend to make my Euro purchase for our Mediterranean cruise this May before leaving the USA.
  6. I just watched your picture presentation of your trip to Venice. The pictures were beautiful. Thank you for posting them. My wife and I will be in Venice for several days following our cruise on The Voyager of The Seas in May of 2011.
  7. Hey Guys I was just looking at the redesigned Cruise Crazies site and I wanted to drop in and say HELLO to all of you.
  8. Hey guys - I was just catching up on your Canada cruise. Jeeeeeeeeesh Rose - You don't like to stay at home, do you - LOL!!! I just posted on the Review Page my review of the Rhine River cruise. Your plans are looking good. I remember how much fun we had planning for the Southern Caribbean cruise last year. Judson
  9. Hey Guys That shirt design looks fantastic. I'm so sorry that the TShirt Company here in Columbus that did our shirts last year went out of business. No one was more surprised than me when I went in to talk to them about printing your shirts as well as some for me and our Mediterranean cruise in May of 2011. The shirts were good and the price was good. I guess that's part of the economy and a business like that going under. Your plans are looking teriffic. Louise and I leave Friday August 13th on a flight to Amsterdam and the Rhine River Cruise that I've been planning since we all cruised the Southern Caribbean together this past year. It's great seeing Rose, Deb, and MaryLou on FaceBook. If any of the rest of you guys do FB, look me up.
  10. Hey Guys Your trip is sounding great. I was just catching up on all the planning. I do so well remember all our conversations prior to the "Connie Goes Crazie" Southern Caribbean cruise - one of the best that Louise and I have done. Reading your posts brings back some very fond memories. It's great to see all of you again that I don't see on FaceBook.
  11. The day the drop was to $!.20 is the day that I went to my bank and ordered 300 Euros and they were delivered within 48 hours. I've done a lot of reading and finally got a Visa Debit card ( which I have never wanted to use before ) to be used at ATMs to make purchases of Euros. From all the reading that I have done and all the people that I have talked with, the Debit card linked to a checking account is the thing to do. Of course - I know that credit card is used aboard ship and can be used off the ship for purchases in most places. So - I think I've settled all my questions about the money situation.
  12. Jeeeeeeeeeeeesh - I've been totally unable to log in and enter posts on CruiseCrazies for so long - since I posted last on this topic about European River Cruises. Anyway - Out August 2010 river cruise is on the Rhine from Amsterdam to Basel. We booked Globus on the Avalon Luminary. One question that I have right now is Do I need to have Euros? I know you can charge and that most likely US currency works but tell me about Euros. What will I need them for, if I do?
  13. Heyyyyyy Guys Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh! It looks as if the issues have been fixed. Now I can post and say "HI" and follow your cruise as it gets planned.
  14. Hey Guys, Rose, MaryLou This looks interesting. I never thought of doing such a cruise. I'm looking at your info. Just to be sure - ARE YOU SAYING THAT EVERYONE IS ON THEIR OWN IN BOOKING THIS CRUISE? I'm going to wait and see how our August Rhine River Cruise goes before making a decision on any cruises for next year yet. If the Rhine River Cruise went well for Louise, I was going to plan a Danube River Cruise or one of the other European River cruises for 2011. It really is costly to fly to Europe - jeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh!!! HEY to everyone. Judson
  15. The credit card thing worked itself out as I was told it would. It was just such a strange thing to have happen. John - I agree with your post. It was a great cruise.
  16. You must have put something about you thoughts about the food on the questionnaire that we filled out and left about the cruise. I head people making complaints about the service. We were seated one table away from the Captain's Table and had the same servers that took care of the Captain's table so our guys were excellent. The only thing they couldn't do that was done in Ocean Liners was put everyone's dishes down at exactly the same time.
  17. OK GUYS!! I have an experience to share that was totally unexpected by me. We got our bills for on ship charges late on the last cruising night. My expenses matched perfectly with what I knew was charged during the two weeks. I had watched it all along on the TV in the StateRoom. Everything was there and accounted for. I also watch my credit cards daily on line and saw the correct amount from the ships charges when it hit my credit card. Everything was perfect and totally correct. Then yesterday - I noticed 4 "pending" charges to my credit card account from Celebrity Constellation. There were 4 charges totalling a new amount of $807.65. I'm not sure what you would do but I immediately called Bank of America and had the account cancelled with no further charges to be accepted. I couldn't get to anyone at Celebrity yesterday and I couldn't get to the "Fraud Department" at Bank of America. I had the phone in my hand this morning at 9:00AM to call Celebrity and during the conversations, I was told that it was holding charges from Celebrity and would drop off in the next 2 - 3 days. The Rep at Celebrity said that they would call Bank of America and get it straightened out. I did go ahead and call the "Fraud Department" at Bank of America and go through all of this situation with them. Now - I'm familiar with these holding charges that drop off but it's usually and even amound and a one time charge and mostly from restaurants. The total amount that we charged while on the ship had already appeared and was correct and these additional charges appeared 3 days after that. So now both Celebrity and Bank of America state that that $807.65 will drop off - HHHHmmmmm!! I thought I'd post this and say that maybe you should check your accounts and see if anything such as this is happening to you. If so, please post and let me know. Judson
  18. I surely do miss Denis. We're having to make our own beds each morning and keep things straight ourselves. I miss the guys at dinner. I'm having to get my own dinner together again. I liked it when they let me make a choice and then put it in front of me - jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh!!! It's a shame when good things have to come to an end. I miss the "CruiseCrazies" too.
  19. Heyyyyyyyy Guys We arrived at the Atlanta Airport in COLD RAINY weather - jeeeeeeeeeeesh!!! I'm headed back to the Caribbean where it's warm and sunny. It was a fantastic two weeks and all of you were great fun. It was teriffic meeting all of you and spending this cruise with you. It was a great experience. Judson
  20. So sorry to hear about your wrist. I hope things will work out. I broke my arm one month before a planned cruise two years ago and had to cancel. We were very lucky with the trip insurance - we didn't loose a dime. Of course - the paid air was a future credit but that worked out for a later cruise.
  21. Man - We are getting so close now. Next month. It's almost time to stop the paper delivery and the mail - LOL!!! Has everyone gotten their DOCS now??? Down to the wire folks.
  22. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! It's Monday and it's the day that we will be boarding ship 7 weeks from now. I can't begin to think about getting stuff together yet. We're going to the North Georgia and North Carolina Mountains the first week of October. When we get back, then I will start to put things aside and get serious about packing for the cruise. I hope everyone will have a pleasant week.
  23. LOL!!! I don't think youll find anyone that would say they are not ready. I'm ready for the time to get here but I've got lots of stuff to do before we leave for this trip.
