I was wondering how many $1.00 you bring for tips? or do you also bring other things to tip staff with. I read someone always brings phone cards to give along with a tip for staff members at the end of a trip.. Since I have to pre-order USA money..I know..just silly...wondering if I brought 20-30 $$ in $ 1.00 bills would be enough.. Thanks :smiley:

Well I think if your going to become a TA you need to be organized..and even if she has 100 clients I'm sure they all are not sailing the same month I am... Plus I'm sure if she emails all her clients to say if they get any more rate drop she has to take some of the cabin credit away to compensate her commission..she won't have any left to plan things for.. Then are many other blunders including calling our home and saying who she was on the answering machine when it was a surprise.. Then b/c she didn't do her job right in booking , things go messed up and our reserv was lost... Thus we scrambled to find new cabins... I think when your new to the Cruising world and you get the TA from hell, it doesn't make things even slightly enjoyable to plan... Live and learn, and maybe stick to land vacations..lol.. :wink:

yeah Cheryl this has been a nightmare... Thought this TA would be good....but if I have to watch rates and do everything myself I might as well do it all myself....or like you said deal with the Cruiseline directly... or find a TA that takes the time to watch things for his/her customers..and make changes when they ask....or when they know I wanted cabins on a certain deck to watch for me..and when they do come up jump on it for me...all about "service" I think...But not this one...all about her commission...which is why I'll assume she makes no effort anymore to help me as her commission has gone down.. I know with RCI they are the same price as they are online...but when the rate goes down and I'm able to get that price I'd like to get it....why should i pay hundreds more ..b/c my TA doesn't look at things... Oh well live and learn, maybe I'll find a wonderful TA to take all the worries away from me or I'll do it all myself again..

I needed to make a change to my reserv. my TA of course is MIA and won't return my emails.. So I called RCI and they won't let me make changes to MY own reservation.. I don't udnerstand..this is our Cruise and i"ve told them that I couldn't get a hold of the TA... Even if I fire the TA, I can't make changes even then I have to find another Ta...thats what RCI told me..sounds unfair to me I don't understand..Its MY money and MY Cruise...

hey JohnG Umm, this TA is a Cruise TA only....scary eh? :shocked: and she has Cruised LOTS..... SO it doesn't matter whether they are Cruise TA's or not you can still get a dud!!!

Easy to bring my own spirits aboard? Sorry have no idea on this on... Tux on formal night too much? We had a man at our table on our Cruise that wore his tux and I saw many men also wearing them... and heck men in a Tux....Prrrrrrrrr Blazer with open collar shirt on non-formal nights ok? again a go as far as I know...as thats what my dh wore..and other men at our table.. How early can I board? not sure on this one.. we got on by 12:30.. HTH :smiley:
