First and foremost......BON VOYAGE and have a super time!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, I just have to ask, have you ever driven in NYC??? We did for the first time and it is TERRIBLE!!!!!!! I don't know how anyone can drive there daily. Maybe it's just because I've lived a sheltered life but keep your eye's peeled and hang on for dear life! Happy Sailing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if this helps or not since we've only done the one cruise on Carnival but...we only did the first formal night and DH wore a dark suit. That happened to be the Captain's formal night and never did see a guy in a tux. Have a great time on your cruise Frostyboy!!!!!!

hope you have better luck with your tour of San Juan than we did. loved St. Thomas and Tortola but San Juan was not that interesting. we like to do the beach thing also. plus some shopping when we can find the good deals. if we spend too much on all the trinkets for everyone then it's longer till we cruise again.

I am lost without my watch. Old habits die hard for me. Even when relaxing in the sun, it's hard for me to be without it. Hubby on the other hand hardly ever wears his. Guess it's true opposites do attract.

We want to do Hawaii next year and were wondering which ship you thought was better? We are currently looking at either Diamond Princess or Carnival Spirit. Are kind of leaning toward Princess since we don't have to travel via air all the way to Hawaii first. But we are open to doing either. Also wondering what kind of free activities were on Princess? Guessing the Spirit would have similar activities as Miracle did and since we will be at sea for longer periods than our Caribbean we were hoping for more choices. Hubby and I want to do Hawaii next year for our 25th anniversary. Any suggestions on the best way to do it. We would like to keep the cost down some and are thinking maybe Carnival Spirit, pick it up in Hawaii, cruise the islands and it goes back to Vancovour. The current list price for a balcony isn't bad but haven't found the info on air travel yet. Does anyone have any suggestions as to ...... does this sound pretty good or is there a better way? Am finally packed, except for the last couple of last minute things. Can't wait for 3AM so we can leave the house and head for the dock (long drive from OH to NY). being a first time cruiser this auto tipping seems like a fairly good idea. still leaves me wondering if during the cruise we should be tipping anyone daily like the cabin steward, bartender, or waiter(s)....or do we wait till the end and put it in the envelopes? we really want to do the right thing but are unsure exactly what that is. i may have asked this all before but since we are leaving tomorrow i'm having a terrible time remembering. sorry for being such a goof. thanks for all your help. carla

we are going to the Eastern Caribbean. ports are San Juan, St. Thomas, and Tortola. have excursions booked to St. Thomas and Tortola. Thanks for the warning about the post cruise depression Maybe all the work I have to do around the house upon returning will help prevent some of it Already have an idea for the next cruise if this works out the way we hope. will keep you posted. thanks again for everything. carla
