  1. November 9 will be here before you know it. Cannot wait to read about the River Antioinette. Have a great time!
  2. November 9 is right around the corner. Have a wonderful time on the Emerald Princess. Can't wait to read your review.
  3. Look out Oasis of the Seas: ametrinel is on their way. Have a great cruise. Come back and post!
  4. Enjoy the ms Zuiderdam. Please come back and tell us all about this cruise.
  5. Thanks for the information Jan. I remember the first time we pulled in to Nassau and there were 4 other ships there. I loved it because I got to see the Disney ship and all it's decorations, the Royal ships up close and personal, etc., etc. But I know what you mean by crowds and hoards of folks.
  6. Gotta love the internet. Thanks for this information, Jan
  7. This is an excellent idea. Our first cruise was a 4 night out of LA. It gave us a taste of all the excellent things that a cruise has to offer over a long weekend. I'm loving that more ships are jumping on this. It will give us an opportunity to cruise on ships like Princess (which we really like but notice that they run a little high).
  8. Makes me want to re-think Bermuda. Actually Jerry has been saying that he doesnt' want to patronize a cruise that does not have a casino. But, the past 3 cruises, he has been extremely disappointed with the ship casinos and only participated in the blackjack tournaments. I know there's no casino on the ships, but are there casinos in Bermuda? Thanks for a great review, John.
  9. Articles like this really don't do anything for me. I know that all cruiselines try their hardest to be green. But it's pretty much like anything else. For instance, I have a recycle bin at my desk at work. The custodian comes, picks it up and puts it with the regular trash. As for air pollution ... there is always going to be something that aggrevates the air. Be it from a vessel, car or home. With time (and lots of money) the older ships will be re-outfitted for better emissions or docked.
  10. Not one but two spectacular sights in a cruise! Wow. Cherish all the pictures and memories. Thanks for the post. So glad this was wonderful!
  11. If I read this correctly, DavidMichael is signed up for a Nov 4 and Nov 8 sailing on the Enchantment of the Seas. Have a truly wonderful vacation. Please come back and tell us all about it.
  12. Happy sailings on the Carnival Valor. May you have sunny skies, calm seas and a wonderful vacation. Please come back and tell us all about your cruise.
  13. Royal Princess - look out! TheCruiser59 is headed your way. Have a wonderful vacation. Please come back and post.
  14. Hey Joe, Have a wonderful time on the Explorer of the Seas. Hope this is a vacation filled with lots of sunshine, great food and wonderful companions.
  15. We've been on the Carnival Freedom for two different 8-day cruises. May you find your upcoming cruise as delightful and wonderful as we found both of ours. Cpome back and tell us all about your vacation.
  16. Enjoy your November 1 sailing on the Grandeur of the Seas. May you have blue sky and calm water. Please come back and post.
  17. Thanks for the review. I, too, am glad that you were pleasantly surprised. How was the transatlantic? Was the ocean choppy? What was the weather like? We have crossed the pacific to go from San Diego to Hawaii. We had 5 days of clouds and choppy seas. The crew told us that that was "to be expected" sailing weather. The trip back from Hawaii to CA didn't seem to be as cloudy and choppy, but it wasn't the hot, sunny travel that we thought we would have. But with that being said, I'd do it again in a hearbeat!
  18. Tragically, we had a 69-yr old man in Tucson drown on Friday. He was swimming alone at 10am.
  19. Thanks for the clarification. It's always Debbie posting. Not sure Jerry even knows how to turn the computer on!
  20. I, too, chuckled at your expense. Sorry about the knee. That's a bummer. As for the glasses, do it, did it, still do it (and I talk about getting my new Rx filled everyday).
  21. I just thought about something else ... Carnival has implemented their policy that if you do not like the cruise before you get to the first port, they will fly you home, blah, blah, blah. So if you are permitted to leave from a port, why aren't you permitted to arrive from a port? Just thinking outside of the box ...
  22. Have a blast on the Royal Princess. Come back and post.
  23. Bon Voyage. Let's hope the ghosts and gobblins leave you alone during your Carnival Victory vacation. Enjoy
  24. Looks like a couple of our Crazie members are on the Breakaway this sailing. Bon Voyage to Dentru.
  25. Happy sailings on the Carnival Conquest. Come back and post.
