  1. Joey, It's about 69 miles closer to San Diego from Tucson (412MILES) LA is 481 miles. But Tucson doesn't have a non stop flight to San Diego, so we have to stop in LA anyway. Our next cruise is 15 days Hawaii leaving and returning to San Diego. Thats why it is actually easier and cheaper to Go to LA.
  2. The easiest for us is Port of Los Angeles because it's the closest to us. So with airfares going up thats a plus. But there are not as many places to cruise from there, we usually end up leaving from Florida.
  3. Have not done one, but from the sounds of it , it might not be a good idea.
  4. Thanks Jason, Your help is great. You've helped me alot lately thanks
  5. For me it would be hula dance on stage in front of a lot of people, for my husband James it would be hula dance on stage in font of a lot of people WITH COCONUTS ON. That was really funny.
  6. We haven't done one as of yet. We have talked about it, and will probably do one some day
  7. We have missed the private islands a few times due to rough seas. On our New Years cruise last year we missed Montego Bay for rough seas too. They gave us an open bar and refunded the port charges. On our honeymoon we skipped Grenada (there was a war) and ended up in St. Vincent. It was perfect, untouched and absolutely the highlight of our trip. We have never missed any ports yet. Better not now with the price of airfares and gas and all. Marcy, we've missed TWO ports: On the Caribbean Princess, (the one where "all the kids joined us") we were supposed to stop at their private island. We stopped in Nassau (Hotel Atlantis) instead. In Hawaii, NCL, how can you forget??? We missed Kauai because we had to return to Fanning Island. Definitely a sign of too many cruises when you no longer remember the "deviations"!!! I thought they were talking about missing the boat in any ports. Oh well
  8. My favorite was Cane, but they canceled it too. We like CSI and CSI Miami,Criminal Minds.
  9. Gisane, Welcome aboard, glad to have new cruising friends. My name is Marcy Ndnd my husband is James. We are both natives of Tucson Arizona. All we ever see is heat and dirt, so anytime we can get to the ocean, we go.
  10. Have a great time, with lots of food and fun!

  13. My parents were not cruisers. Guess I'll be the first for my family, we love it.
  14. Have a fun time on your cruise, Rose. Can't wait to here about your trip when you get back.
  15. I agree with Joey, fuel charges won't dictate our plans, but higher airfares will.
